So I noticed just the other day that if my engines running, and i turn the fan on hot, coolant drips from somewhere behind the dash, right behind the fan controls and what not. Took a look around there and couldn't see anything obvious, but I'm hoping someone will know something I don't, and be able to save me some $$$ by not having to get the mechanic down. Cheers.

It's not starting to work, then stopping. It's not working at all, turn headlights to on position, relay or something clicks really loudly, no light. What's this "earth back through the dipswitch" problem? Dash lights aren't dying from indicators, yet haha.

Fixed, cheers, it was that ground :) But as soon as that was fixed, all hell broke loose again, yesterday my headlights died, and now when I turn them on there's a loud sorta clicking noise, and no light, I was thinking maybe blown relay, am I on the right track?

Today it got even weirder, I noticed that when it's in the reverse gear, and the brake is applied, the dash temporarily comes back to life.

Bump! Help needed.

I put the ke70 back together after months of neglect and a few little electrical problems have come up. When I put the brake on, the indicator lights are coming on, and the brake lights doing nothing, I've fiddled around a bit with connections, but no luck. Any ideas anyone? Also whenever I put the car into reverse, the dash shorts out, and the fuse has to be replaced. I don't have even the slightest clue what could be causing this.

Fuel gauge on my ke70 has killed itself, and is sitting on rock bottom constantly, i know there is petty in the tank, any ideas guys? Cheers, Jake

Replaced the resistor, cleaned lots of connections, and a little bit of start ya bastard

Got it running now ;) Running beautifully too I might say! Rust repairs in full swing now

Would test the reading on the resistor, but lent my multimeter to a mate, and havent seen it since :bash: Twinky, I'm in cumberland park, me and a mate will be giving it another looking at tomorrow night, so if you can pop by, let me know and i'll pm you my address and yeah, i reckon I might just get some start ya bastard instead, keeps the guesswork out of it :dance:

Definitely getting spark, not sure about fuel and spark, calling it a night now so I'm going to try again over the weekend and see what happens, really want to get this rolla on the roads! Last time I went to start it, it started first or second go, but it's been 4 months since that, so who knows whats going on, definitely gonna try the fuel down carby trick, will have to go fill up my jerry can

I've been getting strong sparks from the leads, haven't checked the actual plugs themselves because I don't have anything to get them out with. I'll go try starting it bypassed, see what happens, thought it was a resistor but wasn't sure.

Came to start my ke70 today for the first time in far too long, and it turned over and everything, but wouldn't start. After a couple shots, this little f@$ker in the picture started smoking, what is it? and would it be the problem? Ran through troubleshooting in the workshop manual and the problem isnt spark plugs or dissy so I'm a bit lost! Any help greatly appreciated guys

So is it worth replacing

So yesterday I discovered that the little connection on the right on the thermostat housing broke on my 4k. I don't know what it is but its like three cords maybe a centimetre in diameter that plug into the side of the housing through a little screw in plug thing, and the plug itself has snapped. What is this for? And where can I get a new one? Thanks in advance, Jake. Note: will upload pictures when I get home from work

Looking to upgrade the alternator, and run a twin battery set up, second for sound system, what alternators would people recommend, and how would I go about wiring a second battery into it
