  1. looms, **alternators**
  2. Off the top of my head, looms, starters, water pumps and like you said, manifolds. I'm no whiz on 4AG's but i know there are differences. Small differences, but differences nonetheless.
  3. Had a think about it and I'm going with the 4AG conversion. FR 4AG's don't seem to come around all that often, but the guitar will be there forever. And Ibanez will probably start a 2012 line next year anyway. So the guitar can wait.
  4. First time I'd been in about a year. It's not a regular occurence. Worst places.
  5. I knew(still know) a guy with a GTR33. It f@$king flew. Worth about 50 or 60,000 dollars. He left it out the front of someones house while at a party and it got stolen and wrecked. He still owns a 33 but its a GTS and it's not that great looking. Never seen him driving anything overly expenisive since then.
  6. Hmmm thanks for the input guys. Any more guitarists on here?
  7. Thanks for your suggestion ,smart cookie. They're both great ideas. If I'd made up my mind I would have bought one of the two. From what I've ascertained about your psychological profile, you watch too much CSI and desperately need a girlfriend, but lets not waste everyone's time with a pointless comment, yeah?.
  8. I could see that being an annoyance
  9. Now that's a c**t
  10. While I agree that it's bloody good music, I don't know if it's better than mine :P Decisions...
  11. That's kinda what i was thinking. Plug in and play. But i am still drawn to the conversion. Been driving this f@$king 4k around for ages now. Getting so bored, feel like a geriatric driver. But still it's a hard decision haha
  12. Hey guys, I know i'm probably asking the wrong kind of people but if there's anyone out there that plays guitar(please!)then chime in. Alright so, been saving for a while now and the time has come for me to purchase one of two things. Problem is, they're both so god damn appealing and i don't know which way to go. Choices are; 1, found an FR 4ag, buy it and do conversion in KE70 or option 2, buy new Ibanez RGD2127Z guitar and finally jam the f@$k out on a decent rig. Decisions, decisions. What do you reckon Rollaclub members?
  13. WMMH The bands 'Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Monuments and Veil of Maya.' Nothing like listening to any of them and just trying to remember good times. Calms me right down, makes me real happy haha.
  14. Just realised how much i swore then. Damn.
  15. What really grinds my gears, what really really pisses me off is drunk people. I just can't f@$kING stand them. Just got kicked out of a nightclub because my friend was too pissed, I was halfway through persuading the bouncer to let us back in(he was just about to) so we could go back and talk to this group of women and my mate butts in, becomes a smart arse and then almost gets into a blue with the bouncer. As we were walking back to my car he asks me what he did wrong, when i told him he didn't want to have a bar of it and wouldn't accept the fact that he was wrong and then we almost end up in a blue aswell. I f@$king hate pissed c**ts, probably more than anything on this planet, the exception being Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, f@$king Rhianna and pretty much any so called "artist" that you see on music television programs. They're all f@$ked. Mozart was a f@$king artist. Dumb c**ts. But thats another rant on it's own. What pisses me off the most about my friends when they're drunk c**ts is that they're all really nice people when they're sober. Just turn into absolute wankers when they drink.
  16. curious copper
  17. By the way, really nice car you've got haha.
  18. Well I guess it comes down to how you're feeling when someone asks and like you said, whether or not they're genuine. There's no procedure or ettiquette that you NEED to follow but if people ask, just politely tell them, hop in your car and give it a little (just a little) stick. I'm not into cars for anybody else's amusement or praise but if someone seems honestly interested I'll tell them about my car whether or not it impresses them. I pulled in the local store to buy some tobacco a couple of weeks ago and when I jumped out, a 16 year old kid approched me and asked me how much KE70's are worth. I gave him a few estimates based on condition and whether or not it had rego etc. He then proceeded to tell me that he wants one for his first car and that he and his father wanted to do an engine conversion together when he got his full license. I just told him that he would probably be better off buying an AE71, explained that if he wanted to do an engine conversion later on it would be easier than doing it with a KE70, wished him good luck finding one, bought my tobacco and drove home. It only took a minute of my time and the kid was stoked on rollas. He also walked away with a little bit of information. That's fine with me. But if a dude with a mullet and a can of VB in his hand leaned his head out the window of his actually unroadworthy commolord and asked me what was under my bonnet, I'd probably pretend I didn't see or hear him and drive off. Depends who you come across I guess. I've asked people what work they've done or had done to their cars before. Sometimes I've been rewarded with an answer and others have just shrugged me off. Seen one, haven't seen them all.
  19. Evan, I wasn't implying that the 5k combo would give an increase in compression. Just saying that i think if he's going to the trouble of pulling the head off an engine, he may aswell drop a 5k block in and put the 4k head on it or a complete 5k. Sorry for the confusion
  20. Couldn't of said it better mate.
  21. I think 3k bigport heads give an increase in compression when put on a 4k block. But I think they're Hard to find. If I were going to pull the head off a k motor, I'd just buy a 5k block and stick my 4k head on it. But that's me..If you think it's worth doing then it is.
  22. Trev, I think it was more aimed at me for retaliation to your post. It's just a forum mate, it's okay
  23. My only guess would be find an AE101 or other corolla sporting a 20v at a wreckers? Don't think there would be too many of them laying in wreckers yards though..Sorry i can't be of more help.
  24. But then i think about it, a set of 5 stock wheels that i paid 400 dollars for looks better(in my opinion)than half the aftermarket wheels out there worth 1500 dollars plus. If i can source a decent set of second hand wheels for a good price, i will. If i can't, tough luck and i'll settle with my MA61's and tidy them up. I would rather put 1500 dollars towards an engine conversion than a set of wheels.
  25. Thanks mate, Yeah, i can live with mechanical upgrades. Theyre worth it. But for wheels..haha, damn KE70's. I've got 14x7 MA61's on it at the moment and they were 400 dollars for a set of 5 which in my mind is a realistic price for an aesthetic upgrade. They feel better on the road too though so not entirely aesthetic. Thanks for your help mate. Really appreciate it.
