Ok well am getting cams regrinded because I can't find perfomance cams so I have gone next best thing I am thinking the intake manifold will have to be machined to the port size? Same with exhaust?

I just want to know what work to do to this head while its being reconed like ported polished over sized vavles stuff like that to improve power if I do any of this work do I need to change anything else?

Could not find a 4age so and the ones I found where asking $1500 just for head and block no inlet or gear box or ecu.. So I went 4afe

I have a stock 4afe I want to get the ports done polished and bigger and over sized valves but I want to know will I need bigger injectors or any thing like that

If you do this this way more costly you are better off buying a complete 4afe and reconditioning it. What I did is buy a complete 1993 corolla wreaked (tail gate) then re build it and buy a engine recon kit

I just changed my engine a week ago the tanks r the same u just need fuel Pump and lines the loom for the dash and a engine loom the heads r the same depending on the gen of the 4afe the blocks r the same different water pumps and the belts r different they run the same gearboxes and engine mounts also ur exhaust is the same just minor things changed

I just put a 4afe engine in my corolla that replaced my 4afc the first week not one tick or clunk it was great but I loan it to a mate and now my injectors r clicking? R they ment to? And my camshafts r rattling the shims r in specs how ever I am getting a rattle drone them

I removed the plugs from the mixture screws

Also drilled out the jets to allow more fuel in to counter weigh the emissions control that Is disconnected

Ok I found the problem my emissions where dumping alot of its shit back in the motor so I have disconnected it and plugged it and drilled out mixture screws and cleaned carby with carby cleaner

Ok so what I am going to well doing is! I paid for a new manifold carb recon emissions control hoses upper throttle cleaner helps clear cylinders I am just gonna go over bored and make sure I don't miss any thing replacing the catconverter and exhaust manifold with pacemakers should fix it
