I agree with your order, only the KE3x grille with two big horizontal vents that sit slightly proud is my fav. That's what I'm running at the moment, gold in colour on my matte black ke55... I've gotta get my ass into gear and post some pics of my build...

Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows of any steel grilles for ke30/55, had plastic ones a few times on a couple different rollas, but a steel one would be pretty neat I reckon, plus really last...?!?!? Or if anyone has any info on how to make a mould of a plastic one to be made out of steel.???

If it was about costs and achieving ridiculous HP, a 2J or 1U would be the topic of discussion. Or would you rather see someone have a go at something that hasn't been done yet...?

The issue (and speaking just for myself) is not a case of a smoother torque curve or any of the gains that my bike attains from such a crank, but purely the sound and originality that would come from such a feat... I dig this forum and power to KO 10 for an idea that's tickled my fancy since hearing a crossy for the first time, I see the reasoning behind the for and against opinions. Perhaps a 4age would be the better option, It's just I have a few K's laying around, and money isn't a huge concern... While this is all hypothetical at the moment, you all can't deny (as much as you all see the 'why would you bother factor') that this wouldn't be awesome, especially being that as far as I'm aware the first Crossy 4 banger car engine, in of all things, an early Rolla...?

Hi all, hate digging up an old thread. But I too am in the process of building a Crossplane K motor, I already have everything disassembled on a bench, I've spoken to a guy at Crankshaft Rebuilders in Melbourne and I'm looking at $4,500 for a custom Cross-Crank, my only concerns are of the counterweights being in an issue in the bottom of the block and a custom cam to go with the new throw order of the pistons...? Any season veteran K engine builders on here know of any issues I might run into...? The premise of the idea is to get that crazy sound of the 09+ Yamaha to which I own one of, humming out the ass of my KE55, one of a kind area is what I'm going for...!

Hey guys/gals, new to the Forum having bought my first Corolla (overrated KE55 3 months ago) for the measly sum of $500, now looking at buying this KE36 Wagon off a friend of a friends, wondering how much it would be worth? It's got a fairly fresh 4K (+ the original 3K with matching engine/chassis no.'s) and liquid smooth 5-Speed...
