  1. lol wos fun y not ,it wos a ford corsair lol with the ca20,about $500 for the bits and a weekend to fab it all up.yes twin spark motor lol worked relly well, just the head gasket let go but yep. your after cheap!
  2. spool time on a stock ca20 with a t2 garrett on a stock compression ratio went relly well on low boost about 4psi,tho the head gasket only larsted about 2 weeks taking it ezy. but my pipe work is allways over kill in size that may be y?
  3. cheep motor and you can fined the parts for them ezy ,tx5 turbo ,mx6 turbo ,626 turbo all the turbo models run the f2 motor.
  4. i use to have a old mazda 626 turbo 2.2t motor i see them sell for $500 for running cars,can take a flogging.il post a link of the car. the motors are making good power for not alot of money!.
  5. changes where the capacity increase is less then 15% above the max sized engine available for the car.so the motor is still a 1.6 and the motor is a bolt in no mods needed to bolt motor into the car. stock mounts no cutting needed,this is straight out of the nsw.gov.au for cars under 4.5tones. allso this site tells me i can run the 18" mags i have on my ae71 in nsw legal.will look into it more tho lol
  6. whot i mean is, if he has a ae71 the stock block number starts with 4xxxxxxxx and on a 4age motor it is the same starts with 4xxxxxxx,wen you take it for a blue slip 'nsw' and they pick up that you have a twin cam in a ae71 just tell them you fitted the head and the motor is still a stock ae71 motor. have googled a few times and it comes up with this comment.il know soon if it workes or not.
  7. seen a post about somone just tald a guy he fitted a 4age head, as the block number don't tell anyone its a 4a or 4age and it parst for rego. tho the cops wood give you a hard time anyways.
  8. yeah greendog seems to bog down low wen cold but relly comes good wen it gets upto temp,i fitted a thermo today 16inc will wire it up tomorrow.then on to the car trailer so i can take it out the road for a drive then off for dyno to sort the rest out.

  10. well i got a small vid up of the motor running wos abit cold with no chocke on but yeah more i do the better it gets. they sound better with the filters on lol hope yous like hires the youtube link seeing i can notwork out how to work my computer well. cheers doug
  11. ok cool,so anyways the redline filters i got with the webers don't fit so i had a look,and got a think cutting wheele on the grinder and took my time to take 2cm off each filter,remade some filter lid clips,you woodnt know anybetter that i choped them down. cut some rubber line and slit it down the middle and pressed it on wear i cut so it will seal up wen i mouth them in the lid and holder. only untill i can get some trumpets and filters. all i have to do is mount a fan on the radiator wire it up.sort a few more things wiring wirse bolt all the carpet and trip back in repaint the dash.then off to see if i can get it blue sliped!! that will be fun!
  12. yeah i don't know too much about webers only ever played with bike carbs over the years n efi cars.yeah i regret selling my gsxr750 but end of the day can allways replace cars and bikes with more cars and bikes lol. thats for the help tomorrow il be trying to sort out some more wiring i hate wiring!. allso you runes a hyperpak did it have a reve limit in it? i had my car reving to 9 grand in 2nd gear today and wos like shit!
