AE90

Hey guys.. My name is Ty. I have been a member for awhile now. I am one from the Hervey Bay region :) Just thought I would post some pics of my car up. This car is an AE90 1.4l 6afc carby. Things worth mentioning: King spring superlows 14inch white MOMO wheels Lukey sports muffler custom white mirrors, wipers and front grill :wink: Pioneer headunit and speakers, and kicker sub with a JVC amp And that is about it, engine is stock... Saving money for next car so expect to see this one up for sale in another 6months to a year. Any Comments are welcome

So how rare are the 6af's??? Cause I got an AE90 with a 1.4L 6AFC! Rock on!

Yeah, that's the same as mine, 1989 model. I got the 1.4L 6AFC in mine as well. What did you put in it???

Yeah t's a carby but it's a 6afc

Yeah, I would love to put a 4age in is it. How hard is it to do? I may be able to get one through work. I just need the cash, thats all.....

Hey guys, Thought this would be a good topic to start. In your opinion what's the quickest rolla and why? Now I know the 4age is up there with the best, but what model would you put it in to gain optimum performance?? :)

Yeah, I thought it could of been unburnt fuel, wasn't sure though. I will have to adjust the mixture in the carby then. Thanks

Yeah, it's running a bit rich I think, it's not using any water though.

Hey guys, just a question. Does anyone else in this club own an AE90? There must be a few, I just have failed to come across anyone with this sort of Rolla. Please contact me if you do. :)

I hae tried the carby cleaner, but it didn't do anything. I have had to cat checked out to and apparrently it's fine. So I dunno what else to try.

Yeah stock exhaust up to rear muffler which is a lukey performance muffler. I already give it a bit of a flogging. It doesn't help. And it is noticeably using more fuel as well. Any thoughts?

Hey guys, What corolla's do the 4age come stock in? Another question, my car has got a slight backfire, and it is spitting out a heap of condensation and what I belive are carbon particles out of the exhaust. I have tried numerous options: new plugs, fixed the timing which was out 3 degrees. New needle and seat, checked the float level in carby which was fine. But it is still doing it. I'm out of options. Any ideas???
