  1. I'm in the process of rewiring my KE30, just the motor currently: anyway I was in a rush and had the rookie mistake of pulling everything out at once... Then went to uni. Consequently I forgot where everything goes. I just need a simple diagram for Starter Alternator Distributor (And how they connect to key/battery/relays etc) Also want to know wire sizes, and voltages for it all.
  2. Diesel motor options, a V9X Nissan/Renault V6 3.0 TDI is something I considered.. Might be interesting.
  3. Ok so I'm at the same point with my ke30, however requiring being basically P plate legal for another two years I've narrowed it to either L67 (supercharged ecotec) or a barra 4L. Having the ability to do basically everything in terms of fab, engine work, electrics etc so hoping for a 'cheap' build but as the saying goes; "estimate cost, then double it" Anyways OT if you want to do it don't let anyone hold you back. But... Weight/power wise, is it your best option? I do understand the whole idea of using something your familiar with to simplify things.

  5. After much discussion with mates I'm now going for either a barra 4L or L67 (supercharged ecotec) Either way can keep you updated on how it goes in. Also, with the power & weight increase what suspension/brake upgrades are you thinking of running?
  6. I also have a KE30 4 door which I'm debating over what powerplant to use.. and own a Vu ute with an ecotec. Running stock 175kw as new so realisticly around 150kw or less now.. I had to do a replacement due to a broken head gasket and for the money (i got one with <52,000kms for $750) required to achieve a deicent power output, this could be better spent on another motor.. would certainly be interested to see one done though as yes it would sure be a cheap boost of well 100kw at better then $10 per Kw :)
