You guys are a hard crowd to please....... Might as well stop updating this thread.... No feedback at all.......

I found out that the flares in the front don't fit so well... Their to wide in the bottom and don't look good when I try to force them in place.. They wont fit in the rear either so need some new ones.... Does anyone know what kind of flares that will be a better fit? The ones i have now is for 280z.....

Well, got my gearbox today and ordered some cbr900rr carbs:-)) So the engine and drivetrain is getting along:-) Will continue with the body work this weekend and hopefully I can start with the right side on Monday! Got new fenders on both side and a new front bumper, so that's all good now. When the right hand sill is ready its almost paint time, just some small dents to fix and its all good for primer:-) Will upload pictures some time this weekend... Have a good one y'all:-)

Thanks:-) It`s starting to look like a car again now.... Still some work to do but its not that bad.... It seems like the car have been inn an accident at some point, cause the a-pilar is a bit warped... But nothing I can be bothered with fixing....

I could use some help from you guys, my bumpers are so bad, and i don't think I can bring them back... Do anyone have any suggestions? Buying new ones is not an option casue its not possible to find them in Norway... And the shipping cost will be to high... Any pictures or something to give me som inspiration....? Thanks...

The floor on the driver side was bad... Someone have tried to fix it, but.... Pictures say more than words..... This is how it looks after I have welded and grinded it....

Fixed it....

New update, Almost finished with the rust on the left side of the car... Also cancelled the 4AFE engine, and bought a Ford 1.8 16v Zetec engine..... Will put carbs on it, new camshafts, and a header... Much easier to find parts for this engine, and the gearbox is from Sierra, so thats a pretty easy thing to find here in Scandinavia.... Recon i will get 160-180hk with these mods.... Wil post some pictures later tonight...

This is what I got done to night, the sill is almost ready, just have to weld the front of it and then it's time for the other side... Also fited flares on the rear fenders just to we what it looks like. Any comments?

Update: Started fixing the rust, pictures will come tonighte.... Also, bought my selg an engine, 4AFE, but.... Do anyone know what kind of gearbox i can us eon this engine???

Ok, but does the lenght seem to be ok? I'm wanting to fit some coilovers to my KE30, don't know if their the same as the KE20 though...

What brand is the coilovers? Where did you buy them?

Some pictures of todays work... Found some rust but not to bad.... I need some new parts, the plate thats under the grille, the front valance I guess its called.... Anyone got an idea?

Startet working on the car now, and I discovered to my horror that some jackass have welded the front fender to the sill.... :wtf: So i now need a new left fender.... And here in Norway it seems like mission impossible.... Anyone who knows any sites that I can look into?? Pictures will be uploaded this weekend.

Anyone who knows where to buy struts for these cars: ta22 /te27/te71 I'm going to build coilovers, so need the struts for a base.... Thanks.

Ok, I'm thinking of putting in some kind off tractionbar in the rear, maybe that will do the trick..... Anyone have a link to someone who has done something in the rear on these cars?

Ok, so you think it will be enough with just some new shocks and just remove as much weight as possible from the rear??

Yea, it gets a little tight on the left side of the engine bay..... Just hope that the 18r engine doesn't make it even tighter.... Got some ideas what I can do with the rear?

Hi there, This is my new project car! 1978 Corolla KE 30 two doors, with only 69k km on it, good/overrated condition. (I'm trying to wrie M I N T condition, but it wont let me???????????????? :wtf: ) I have built a couple og cars before, a Nissan drift car eg, and som german crap.... Plans for the car is to make it in to a clubdrifter, streetlegal of course.... I have a Corona thats beyond repair, so thinking of taking the engine from that one (18R) and put it in the Rolla, uppgrade with some webers, headers, cams +++ Colour, not sure yet, but it will be something smooth..... (my drift car was Lamborghini yellow, so something i little bit flashy. :D Wheels, nothing bigger than 14" and 7"-8" wide.. Also i need to figure out what to do with suspension and steering.... I have read alot about it, but havent found a good thread with pictures and stuff to describe the prosses og fitting R&P steering on it... And also regarding the rear suspension, what have others done? I get the car on wednesday, so wil just rip the engine out asap, and start the bodywork so it will be nice an ready for the summer.... and that aint until may here in Norway so..... Hi there, just bought a 1978 two door ke30 with the smallest engine and auto gearbox...... I have a 76 corona 2000 mk2 with the 18r engine and five speed gearbox. Is it an easy task to put the 18r engine and gearbox in the rolla? The corona is beyond repair cause of rust.....:-(( but figured it could still be of use and give the rolla a new hart:-( The rolla is really nice looking with only 69k km, need to weld the sills though, but that's the only problem as far as I know.
