well my question is, have anyone try this in a 4K???

i don't know what to belive because its not just another fuel saving magnet,

it have been tested by a lot of people with good results overall and they seen

like real people. i woult try it, but i only have one 4K and its daily driver so i

can't mess a lot with it. I think that maybe some people who has the skills and

lots of 4K heads around can do something..... and tell the comunity :)

  2. Well the other day, the logos in my mothers car were falling and before someone took them

i remove from the car, then i compare to the ones that i took from my own car (an 81 corolla)

    and here there are....

    Famous COROLLA

    And the almost famous TOYOTA

well there they are, in your hand the old ones have that vintage look and feel that makes them

great, they feel more hand made than the new ones, the new ones feel like massive made and not

    so "artesanal"

  3. thank you very very very much Teddy, even a thrird-hand one will do it, but what i want to know first is, which are the prices of the package and post, and then the price of the panles, because there is a long trip to make the panels to arrive, so it might be too expensive. You are like a god for me, and you might just saved my Corolla...

  4. sorry to keep you waiting the VIN number is KE70-0527523, thats the Frame Nr, in the badge located uo in the firewall, if that not the number let me know, i also found that my car is the same like yours T-18 if that is anything

    thank you very much!!!!!!!

  5. Well i'm the first corolla owner to post a topic in this area, i'm form Uruguay which is a little country beetwen Argentina and Brazil (you probably heard from those but no Uruguay).

My car is my first one, in my family there are toyotas since many years the first one was a 93 Corolla Tercel, great car i don't remember a lot, then a 93 Corolla 2.0 Diesel, after that a 2002 Corolla also Diesel, and my father bought some years ago a 93 4Runner 2.8Diesel, thats a tough SUV it's have been used and abused by me many times.

I drove all those cars like mine but they werent mine, so when i turn 18 i was decided to buy a car and it was going to be a toyota, i saved all the money i during one year that and some colaboration from my parents and i was ready for buying my first rolla, i search and search for a Corolla in good shape and after 4 months i was able to find a 81 Corolla Liftback. The rear quarter panels were very rusted, and there were rust in the hood and back, but the car was in great condition never had a crash all the windows were there, and the interior was great also the factoty radio and tape player were working like new. Also the car have all the paper work upated and every thing was paid, the car was in my budget so i get it!.

After buying i enjoy the car all i could before it has to enter the body shop to fix all the mayor rust, at that point I contact the local office for toyota asking if they have the quarter panels replacement, and they say NO, that the car was imported from 81 to 84 and only 40 liftback came to my country, so no quarter panles to my corolla, but i don't give up just like that and i'm contacting toyota offices around the world loking for the quarter panels, huray for Internet!!

Well I don't want you to get bored so i'm ending... Sorry for the english as says in my signature

  6. Well after months of searching for my first car, i have found it!!! It's a very rusty Corolla Liftback, but I love it with the rust included!!!. It's a great car even if the rust covers all the back part of the car :2thumbs:.

You can check the proyect pictures in http://ke70liftback.bravehost.com the page is in spanish i know but soon it will be in english, so don't worry, also the pictures speak for themselves.

  7. Sorry for my mistakes on the last post... Here it's corrected!

Hi everybody, I'm Sebastian from San Jose - Uruguay, and I'm just about to buy my first car, a ke70.

I been reading the forums all over but i can't find the answer to my question, the corolla that I'm buying,

has the 4K engine resting in the back completly dismanteled. I can find for free a 4A-F engine but no T50 gearbox

so I was wondering if the 4A could be mounted easily with the K50 gearbox.

I just found this on wikipedia, but i don't know if its correct, here it goes:

    K50

    Ratios:

    First Gear: 3.789:1

    Second Gear: 2.220:1

    Third Gear: 1.435:1

    Fourth Gear: 1.00:1

    Fifth Gear: 0.865:1

    Applications:

    - All 5-speed Starlets and Corollas with K-series engines,

    - 1986 Corolla with 3A-U and 4A-U engines

My thinking is, if the K50 came with the 3A-U and the 4A-U , its very posible to fit also the 4A-F, or there is a big difference between these

Sorry for the bad English, i wait for your answer

  9. Hi everybody, I'm Sebastian from San Jose - Uruguay, and I'm just about to buy my first car a ke70.

I been reading the forums all over but i can't found the answer to my question, the corolla that I'm buying,

has the 4K engine resting in the back completly dismanteled. I can find for free a 4E-F engine but no T50 gearbox

so I was wandering if de 4E could be mounted easily with the K50 gearbox.

Sorry for the bad English, i wait for your answer ;)
