  1. If you ever feel brave enough with your mechanical skills try to remove the oil pan after draining the oil to see if you can find any remnants of the pieces and remove them with a strong magnet (its better than using fingers and well pick up more). Don't wanna risk it getting picked up back into circulation from the oil flow.
  2. Can i say that the chipped gear pueces are somewhere down in the oil pan? I can only imagin it sinking down but who knows what else it may have crunched up along the way. The cam gear shouldnt be too hard to change given most cam gears have very few bolts. It's not hard to figure out. Just take a look to the side of the cam, get tool, switch it out and bam, its done! (make sure your timing is right though lol.
  3. God status.... You efffing rock!!
  4. Same here luke. I just gotten an ae82 carb a few months ago. I have no knowledge as to to how it works lol. Mine hesitates when first starting from a low gear like first or second. I was told that it was from vacuum lines leaking. Cold starts have the idle higher than idle because of the choke. Does your rev high all the time?
  5. I thought the 4a series engines have all interchangeable parts with one another. The 4ac can even be swapped to twin cam head. I wouldnt doubt that the 4afe can be changed to the g head. I would probably worry about the piston vs valve angle hitting one another so switch to the pistons as well.
