  1. Sad to hear that some tool hacked KE70.com... Awesome work Irokin and Altezzaclub. Many thanks for that. I also have this article tucked away now. It was the initial inspiration for my conversion. Again, thanks heaps guys. Steve.
  2. I don't have one of these... >| The hunt is on.
  3. Hi guys, Thanks for the advice. Car will be standard for the time being, until I can afford more, but I don't think I'll go much past the old cams, carbs, compression and exhaust route. Oldskool rules! I used to have an 80's model 626, the rwd ones, believe me, two piece tailshafts will still make a car pole vault, just not as high. :sigh: Cheers, Steve
  4. Dragging the 5k auto, plus the other goodies (tacho dash, remote boot and fuel release, a/c? etc.), out of my other ke70. I have almost all of the other bits and pieces, have also installed a manual pedal box (the rolla its going into was an auto too). Have the option of buying the tailshaft ($40 or $50) out of a manual KE70 but there is a choice of single or two piece. It's more the wiring side of things i was chasing, plus the running of the clutch cable. Thanks for the quick responses... Cheers, Steve.
  5. Hi all, I have the option to buy a tailshaft for the manual conversion I'm doing. I have the choice of either a one piece, or two piece shaft. Is one better than the other or are they much of a muchness? I've worked on Escorts before and the two pieces were added to reduce vibration. Is it the same for Toyotas? Cheers, Steve.
  6. Hey all, I've done the obligatory search and all of the good information points to a thread on KE70.com which is now defunct. Has anyone got a copy of it they could send me? Cheers, Steve
  7. I know it's an old post, but think about it. Didn't the TE 72 come out with a 3T engine. I don't want to give too much away, but look at your original engine number... now look at the 3tgte engine number... notice any similarities? There is a form you need to fill out, but it shouldn't need to go over the pits!!!
  8. Hey there, as ae71 crossmembers are a bit hard to find, I'll take a set of these mounts for a ke70. Work out a price and let me know. Steve
