hey all, recently purchased my first ke20. now to stopping time in this car is a lil slow for me haha and i really wanna swap out the stud patterns to 4x114.3 for a more variety of wheels as i don't wanna be getting sets redrilled! now after doing a search on here, reading the FAQ and a lil help from benzo ;) i couldn't find the answer i was after... FRONTS i want to know if a can just swap out my front ke20 struts with ke55/ke70 struts or even ke30 if need be... to get the new stud pattern and a larger brake, is it a straight swap or will there be some modding? and will if fit onto the ke20 lower control arm? or is there another way i can upgrade...? REARS as for the rear... is it possible to just change the axles and drums for a ke30? or are they a different length. or should i just swap out the rear end with another? i'm not a noob to cars, just ones pre 1980 :S i.e the wonderful world of leafs and steering boxes cheers for any help :D - nick

are u just doing the lights and grill? cuz thats prob doable... but if you want to do gaurds and bonnet, it wont work.

the way you make it sound though is your stereotyping hills cruises into ZoMg Hekt1K Dr1ft battles... which is what there not! i've been on rolla club cruises that were chilled through the hills... and i have even been on ae86dc cruises which have been chilled. the problem with beach cruises is every uleh and his polished chromes is out parading about... no i am not being hypocritical and stereotyping! (yes your all gunna say i am) but cruising along the beach/jetty rd/the bay or whatever is so boring! sick there are some houses on one side of me, sick there is the beach the other :\ oh and whats that, can't go over 25kmh, i prefer a relaxed drive through the hills. doesnt have to be fast, yes you k-engines can handle 60kmh! hills cruises are great... its winter everything green! in the hills! nice windy roads to go through (without being hektik fast or drifting, which is impossible on most corners in the hills anyways) a nice trip up to handorf, or all the way through vic is pretty cool... the odd stop along the way to make sure everyones there and your all good! my 2 cents

rofl beach cruise. yeah jetty rd circuit is sick!!!! /fail and every cruise i been on in the hills its been chilled cruise.

t18 ones look fine, you just need to mod the brackets as they don't fit. ones of ke70 panel vans are a perfect fit and look overrated!

my mates old ke70 could be opened and started by house keys :) but i think you will find any old car key should work... i could open and start ford lasers with my ke70 key, that and coronas hehe

yeh i may be down.... what roads you gunna go down? summit... norton summit... deviation rd... uradla onto norton... or go through the hills to somewhere like handorf that direction or like the last cruise i went on, hills through to victor harbour :D that was a good one. tho was a looong time ago
