  1. Ae93 4Age Ac Compressor Compatability

    Hi guys, the AC compressor in my ae93 is Spewing metal filings and needs to be replaced. Will the compressor from any other motors bolt up? Ae93's aren't very common at the local wreckers around here. Cheers

    Wow I had this exact problem myself over the weekend. I ended up getting it out by popping the pulley off the pump to get to the bolts behind the pulley. Putting it back together it became apparent you can get the pump in/out with the correct 1/2" 14mm socket set with extensions and flex joints. Was a nightmare job. Was very close to removing the AC and Dizzy for more access but pushed on. Very annoyed to realise I didn't need to stuff around getting the pulley off, things are always harder the first time! Set the engine to TDC, should be alignment marks on the dizzy to reinstall it with the engine at TDC I think.
