  2. Hey. I'm getting sick of changing points in the 4ac and want to convert over to an electronic ignition system. what distributor fits in ? thanks
  3. Your local police station or RTA centre, give them a ring :bash:
  4. bit of an update. fitted a set of saas interceptor racing seats - for extra comfort. They look mad! also tinted windows the darkest legal black. will get pics up as soon as. engine wise its still standard, along with the transmission. looking at fitting a weber as well as a disc rear end. any comments on fitting discs?
  5. Thank you everyone for the replies. I have put a 4-ac back in and its all good. did all gaskets, welsh plugs and typical stuff like that to keep her running - after all its only a $500 car i drive to work and back each day. I do like the sound of the weber idea to give it a bit more poke but I'm a bit hesitant as shes a 3 speed auto. do webers have a linkage for the auto kick-down cable? I'd also need a custom manifold and extractors to do this...am i right? thanks again guys! Jon
  6. well my 4A has cracked the shits and finally died has a cracked water jacket at the back of the motor and is leaking coolant like theres no tomorrow. it also blew off the bolt on the rocker cover and sprayed oil everywhere in the engine bay. Its screwed the thread on the rocker gear and can't tighten. So my question is, what engine can i put in there without too much hassle. would it be easier to put a 4A back in? or can i get a 4K to fit? help me out people Thanks Jon
  7. well heres an update. Fitted some bathurst globes. 14x7 on the rear with 205's and 14x6 with 185's on the front. Fitted lowered king springs, she now sits nice n low, but not too low! new headunit and 6x9's sports steering wheel driving lights behind the grille :jamie:

  12. Hey all. doing a spring replacement on my AE71. So far the rears have been easy as but I'm having trouble figuring out on how the fronts go. how do I remove the current spring from the strut itself? I noticed on the strut top under a rubber cap a bolt obviously needs to be undone? (the one thats packed with grease) help! Jon
