  1. Yeah, honestly I'd give up. I rang the number of the "shop" a few times, txt, sent about 4 emails, spoke with him on msn and you reckon the attitude was bad on the forums... This was about 3 months ago when I was ready to go balistic on the rolla (getting close to doing the same again  ) And I've also heard worse storys since then. But you can seriously get all the stuff he sells anywhere. If you look hard enough, like I have been. What were you after from him?
  2. Ahh yeah that sounds a bit smaller than what I have now  Thanks
  3. Hey, Just got a set of these Delta thingys. 14x7" They where swiped from a RA40 Celica I'm getting my LCA's and knuckle arms from. I'm pretty sure they were over inflated at 47psi, the tyres were like rocks to drive on. They currently have a charming set of 195/65 R14's on? To me they look like 4WD tyres (lower profile?) and the car sits a tad higher. Just wondering what everyone else is using for tyres, and should I get something machined up to centre the hub a bit better, there looks like a lot of slop. And has anyone had a set of these before? Know the offset and width? There dirty but I love em. Thanks, Ethan
  4. Hey, Damn that aint good at all, I was quite tempted by them lol. I went in to Toyota to complain about a noise in my ZZE122 and also went for a chat in spare parts. It looks like Toyota have a fair bit of info on the computer in there, I watched the chick pull up the car and the exact sedan tail lights on the screen and she reckons I need a VIN number... And she needs to fax Melbourne to get the right prices and parts and thats assuming they still exist. I've bought 10 brand new 4K head bolts from there before and replacement headlight protectors for my ZZE without a VIN number. This bugs me quite a bit since they didn't even look at my car when I was there. I think I'll go back armed with a VIN number soon or just ring up Monday lol.
  5. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/faq/inde...Rear_suspension Here's a good start, and the rest of the FAQ as well. I've got KYB VB-VP FE2 Station wagon rear shocks $148 at burson's, there under 500mm high and have the same 16mm lower shock mount as the KE70. The sedan ones have a metal tube thing pressed in to the bottom mount so its not gonna work. Also the standard height Commodore ones (sedan or wagon) are nearly the same height as KE70 originals. FE2 is way shorter. Ethan.
  6. Hey, Sounds like your in the same boat as me. I've been looking at ST162, ST185 and ST204 Celica front inserts because they have the same outside diameter as the XT130 insert,(I'm hope) the same gland nut and are have a shorter stroke. I'm gonna ring Munroe's 1800 number and get some actual heights compressed and extended before I rush out and get any. But the front ST204 munroe GT ones are $129pair and AW11 MR2 Rear inserts (also fit but there really short) are $209pair (thats at autobarn, I bet theres way better prices out there). I'll be buying KYB if I can, but Munroe is very helpful. For the springs your gonna need the KE70 top spring seat, XT130 is massive and so is the spring. You basicly need a KE70 spring with the bottom wound to suit a XT130 Corona. King's do it in 10 days to whatever spec you want for $260 a pair. I need to look into the springs a bit more. Oh and I hope you have the XT130 knuckle arms(steering arms) with the struts. The KE70 knuckle arms bolt holes are too wide. Oh and thats what I'm planning on doing, for all I know theres a better way, but thats the best I've come up with. Ethan.
  7. I'm supprised by the sounds of it I haven't heard it yet lol :lolcry: Looks nice dude.
  8. Nice, that sounds like fun
  9. I'll really have to keep my eyes peeled for the spirits, I'm really after the crossmembers and pedal box but I'd have better luck at Melbourne wreckers than trying to buy another whole car in Ballarat. There's one guy who goes the opposite way I go to work in the morning in a really clean lookin white wagon, lowered, with sigma alloys?
  10. I'll look in to some genuine ones on Monday then :lolcry: Thanks
  11. Where abouts? And do they come with the gasket/rubber seal thing?
  12. Hey, Would anybody know if you can get new KE70 tail lights or even just the rubber gasket that seals the tail light to the body? Mine are leaking real good because the gaskets decayed and it’s caused most of the bulb holder to go all brittle, the reverse lights work when they feel like it and I regularly get a boot full of water. And at a stretch, has anyone seen any of the US/NZ KE70 tail lights around, don’t mind the look of em lol. Thanks.
  13. lol I reckon :lolcry:
  14. Hmm, lol. I'll keep a lookout for the spirit in my travels. Just wish I could have found a spirit around here when I bought my KE70 lol, there wasnt much to choose from 6 months ago. Is there much of KE70 crowd around here lol?
  15. What colour is it, lol I drive past a few like that. Pretty sure I've seen the MR2 tho
  16. That sounds like a good idea
  17. Ahh yeah. I've seen a couple of nice KE70's around (with the same guy driving lol) Ex rolla owner?
  18. Hey, I've probably posted this in the wrong spot? Just wondering if there are many Rolla club members in Ballarat? I'm fairly new to all of this so I was hoping to meet people doing the same thing as me locally(or similar lol). I'm slowly building up a 20V KE70. Thanks.
  19. Hah  I won't listen to a holden expert again then...
  20. Hey, Try giving the starter motor a thump. It sounds just like what my falcon used to do. Stuck starter motor solenoid. Get a long flat head screwdriver, put it on the starter motor solenoid and get someone to crank the engine while you give it a few whacks. Hard, but make sure the screwdrivers on the solenoid housing. don't want it to slip and break something else. Should eventually crank... It could just be a cactus solenoid that needs replacing. I haven't actually had the joy of looking at mine yet, it was brand new when I got the car lol. Ethan
  21. Hmm. You may have changed all my ideas on the diff, I was only going down the R31 path because of the ratios and its also 114.3 4stud. I was scared off the T series because of the prices I've seen. What year and model is the Hilux diff out of? It may end up a 4A-GTE...
  22. Ahh K. Is that with the corona knuckle arms? I was going to get AE86 powersteering or find something shorter. When the brakes go in I'll be using the factory KE70 rear drums and the Hilux 4pot calipers with a landcruiser/hilux MC bolted to the KE70 booster. I had a couple of people recomend I use a adjustable proportioning valve because there will be a bit too much bias towards the rear brakes. The engineer I spoke to said I can use the factory diff with the 4A-GE 20V, thats the only reason the drums are staying for a little while. Later down the track I'll be putting in a R31 Pintara diff or something similar. So I'll imagine I'll need it there again.
  23. Yeah, I might have to get on to some of the knuckle arms from an XT130, AE86 or an RAxx Celica, apparently they fit and I had a measure of an RA60 today which may just be the go. And they all seem to have the same 52mm strut tube in common. I'll also look into a roll centre adjuster for the negative camber, might be easyier than finding XT130 LCA's lol. Thanks for that.
  24. Well for a laugh I was going to put the Falcon springs in to see how it went, give me a rough idea on what spring rates I might want later down the track. But its ok, I'll just have a spare set for the back if I'd ever need it lol...
  25. I was after 14x7 but out of curiosity, what do they look like?
