yea your right, it does have an oil pressure warning light. also, i went to a place called IFS at rocklea and they sorted me out with a brass T piece and a little extension which is perfect. ill post a pic soon. Cheers, Mark

cheers everyone for your help, I'm very interested in rigging up an oil pressure warning light, there is no light in the guage or on the ae71's dash cluster, how do you do this?

hey everyone, I have an speco meter electrical oil pressure guage and sender that i want to install on my ae71 with 4age 20v silvertop. I can see the original oil pressure sender and wire just forward of the oil filter, my question is do i remove the old one completely or make a T piece so i use both?. Cheers :D

i havent got a dyno readout yet, I'm not expecting it to be a fireball, its still not back from the mechanics :D any day now :evil: can anyone give me an estimated qtr mile time on a standard 4age 20v ae71 or ke70? also i am unsure about the laws regarding the modded firewall, shell be right mate lol

hey everyone. This is my AE71 project so far. It will be running in the next week or so. your comments and suggestions please. there is some nasty rust to fix in the rearmost pillars and behind the rear wheels, then it will be repainted in white. other things i want to do are - make the interior black re cover door cards in black paint dash black - Limited slip diff updated pics soon stay posted :) cheers. thanks for your help everyone. i have come to the decision that i will get an aftermarket Tacho, something not wanky looking, and black faced. I plan to mount it on the steering column. I have seen electrical and mechanical tachos, which one suits my car?. cheers :)

i was kind of leaning towards an aftermarket tacho, merely because it seemed easier to wire up since they are universal and all. But i am all in favour of the original look. is it hard to rig up the AE71 tacho cluster with a 4age 20v?. cheers.

hey everyone, i am currently doing a 4age 20valve silvertop conversion to my AE71 cs station wagon. the car is currently away getting the AE71 wiring integrated with the AE101 wiring. i am trying to figure out what i should do about a tacho, weather i should get an ae71 tacho dash cluster, or just go with an aftermarket tacho. I am new to this so all help and suggestions greatly appreciated. heres some pics cheers Mark

Is there a lsd diff center available for the AE71 corolla? or do i have to change the diff in my 1984 AE71 wagon to a R31 diff or something? cheers. :hmm: i have a standard 4age 20v silvertop to install soon. :S
