Looks alright mate. Now you have to divide your time and funds between 3 rolla's!
Good luck mate
yea thats going to be hard but i guess the 55 is pretty right so its really only 2 but i don't know how I'm going to do them both before the year 2050 lol

big improvement i like the early dash's they just seem a bit more interesting and are just cool
great job keep it up :lmao: :hmm:
-
love the color there might be a 55 in tassie getting around in the same color soon :)
anyway mate great find looks good will be keeping an eye on this one like i did with the 55

keep the headliner and front door cards as there are handy when you roll as it gives you a little more padding and avoids you from damageing your helmet (if your wearing one lol).
yea i will definately wear a helmet but don't really plan on rolling over :)
anyway work starts this weekend stripping weight out will let you know how much i manage to get out of it

get a car that wont die to easly, i.e. a ke70 (something old and pushrod they seem to last longer).
we had a t-18 and a 120y t-18 was incredible fun, it blew clouds of smoke and i was scared of revving it over 4,000 because of the super bad piston slap (it had no rings), the 3t had heaps of toque.. it got rolled twice and thing to kill it was the t-series kinda broke in it :)
the 120y was held on the valve bounce constantly and smashed threw gears thanks to the dog box no or little clutch was needed. never over heated even though when it was running it wouldn't get over about 70km's and wouldn't fall below 4,000. mods included sick sounding side pipe, stripped interior custom scalloped side from tree swapping and 13" corolla steelies on the front.
haha that sounds like fun a bit like what i am planing to do but a little less harsh and we are setting up a rally stage and doing timed runs
-
Mask the rims up and spray them black, then clear coat. should look better, and stay looking good longer.
yeah i ahve been told its a good idea to use clear coat over the top it gives it a glossy look??
anyway nothing much is happened to the rolla lately as i have been sick and once i got better it has rained :lolcry:
-
haha yea i don't think i will go to that extreme but anything that has no use will be pulled
-
I think this is just paddock bashing...not a true organised rally.
well it is but its not we are not really going around trying to destroy cars for the hell of it is more a group of mates seeing who can build the best 1200-1600cc and then set up a track and do time trials and so on so its not paddockbashing but it is
-
anyone know of any ke10's 11's or 25's up for sale??
-
thanks for all the responses I'm planning on going ultra light with lexen rear and side windows, no rear or passenger seat, rid the car of sound deadening carpet most of the dash and all the other bits that don't need to be on a rally car
-

now that i think about it i will leave it there and make a guard because of Cog factor
thanks
-
ok thanks for that its a anything goes thing so ill have to try all these tricks
Cheers
-
well this is only a thing a group of mates in the country do is try to build the fastest racecar under 1.6l then do time trials so basicaly its anything goes except from the out side it has to look like a car so all panels lights grille that kinda thing
-
spotted a ke26 driving up don road lowered and real dark window tint and some kind of sticker in big white letters saying somthing i didnt quite catch what it said

Short update: my plans have changed a bit i plan on putting all the running gear out of yellow into red as i found out yellow has accually been rolled and there is about 3 inches of bog on the roof just above the passenger side front seat i wouldnt have picked it but if you push on the roof lining from the inside you can feel the roof being folded down
anyway this will happen after winter because i want to paint it all up at the same time
cheers
