  1. i think put the stockers on the the rear and smoke em.... oh wait, u have a 4k... disregard that comment.
  2. ok ok.. ive been a bit slack of late with posting pics but ive been far too busy working on the car.. so this is how it is as of today.. dash and all of the cabin wiring is all back in and engine should be in by the weekend and this is another mago tree project../ so far it owes its owner and grand whopping total of $164 plus o.r.c..... i think the car is turning out realy quite well for a backyard build.. nothing so far has been done out of the shed so I'm quite proud of myself :y:
  3. i run 25mm slide ons on the front of my rolla with no adverse effects.. but i have got super long wheel studs too imo even 16's are too big for a rolla.. stick with some uber cool jap 15s... plenty big enough for a little corolla
  4. no not the same person.. i heard about that car tho and was told it looked alot like my car... and yes we live on a acre block on the coast.. I'm very fortunate to be renting a house with so much room.. we got a dlug at the house and the big shed down the back so we always end up with heaps of cars being built/modified/fixed here... thats why we call ourselfs mangotree performace.. we started out at the old place building cars under the mango trees... :) so all the painting is now done and the reassembally has started but unfortunatly i gotta start work again as wel l... stupid work... as for the bars.. they are off a sprinter.. just modified to fit ( read cut the buggery out of them eith a jig saw )
  5. i want to travle as far as the funds and time off permits.. i'd like to compete down there, the track looks like alot of fun..
  6. just about finished the painting.. only the boot lid left to color and clear.. then i can start the whole re-assembally thing.. will put up some new pics in the next day of two
  7. considering i live with josh and build my car next to his, u may just be rigt there mr ke 50.. well spotted. its exactly the same color and there should be another car painted the same soon.. when mumblezz gets the 1jz sorted in his cressy.. which it nearly is.. hahhaa go the 1j!!!!!!
  8. yeah it will still look roughly the same but should have a new front bar on the way soon.. then i just need to get the 20v rebuilt and get it in there  thanks for fixing pics too tiger this is how the bonnet came up ... mmmmm shiny with sparkles
  9. hahaha still has black bonnet.. but now its shiny!!!
  10. hey all .. thought it was about time i posted up some pics of the new shell ive been building to replace the rusted out old black thing... this is the car as i was and I'm sure a few of u have seen it around......then i decided it was too rusty and it was time to replace the shell.. so i found a very clean shell for $100 (had everything but the motor) and went to town.. as it stand right now the car is almost painted after some body mods.. and sanding, lots of sanding... i hate sanding now it looks like this!
  11. i don't count the net drifters as part of the drifting scene.. the biggest thing they have to worry about is backspacing to hard and hitting a firewall... i agree, the thousands of tools who get on the forums and claim to know everything can all fu*k off as far as i care... the real drifters are the one who sacrifice going out with friends to stay in the shed to build or better their cars.... There are very few real drifters who bother with forums anyway because of threads like this on your other point, it is very sad to hear that people didnt be more helpful... where did it happen(what state/track)?
  12. I think this is the most close minded thread i think i have ever had the displeasure of reading, and quite frankly, i would have expected better from Rollaclub. I was of the opion that u guys were all intelligent, open minded people but i think i was wrong. I agree that there is a percentage of wankers assosiated in the sport( show me one that doesn't have that tho) but mostly every one i know through drifting are all top guys. in my opinion, drifting is one of the few motor sports that u don't need heaps of money to compete in. don't get me wrong, its not the be all and end all of life as i know it, i love to go for stinky fast mountain runs without drifting, but i think u guys need to be a little more grown up about it. EVERY SPORT HAS IT FAIR SHARE OF WANKERS that can give a bad name to the rest. I respect the fact that its not everyones idea of the ultimate form of driving.... i guess thats why we have so many different forms of motorsport...... sorry to sound like a cranky old fart :D
  13. yes well... ummmm... i did put 80's plastic on my little beast......
  14. can't wait to target u... um i mean.... drift with u :insane:
  15. put the diff in and come for a slide!!!!!! the more toyotas out there the better!
  16. tuff ke= dan i drive a matt black sh1t box live on the gold coast
  17. 215/35 r15 might be hard to find.. I'm sure there cheep too... go with 195/50r15 they work realy well how long till its on the track????there is another practice doy on 6th march
  18. good luck with it dude.... when does the 4age go in ready for drifting?? :insane:
  19. are they 14" or 15"?? i would run the 8'S on the front and 7s on the back. 185s work realy well on the 7s and i wouldnt go much bigger than 205s on the 8'S as for profile.. if they are 14s... use 60 if they be 15s use 50 hope this is of some help
  20. might be easer to push shit up a wall with a fork, than finding sprinter bars.. ae82 or 92 would look cool though...
  21. there is a programme through microsoft that can resize them.. can't remember the name but is in the downloads section at microsoft.com can u e-mail the pics too me please as i have none. cheers mate.. p.s were u at the top of the track in a ae82?? white one i think
  22. there are links to pics in that other thread.. i didnt change lights but i think iam going for a different look to u
  23. yeah man.. first time on the track and i have never drifted corners that big befor... so i had to figure out a new driving style to suit. it took all day but i got there in the end :insane: i think the main thing is i got out there and gave it a go and had a shiteload of fun in the process!! shame about mumblezz not being able to show me who was boss (due to a number of problems..) but tis all fixed now
  24. have u seen what i did to mine?? sprinter front and rear bars do the trick just nicely
