ok so you guys think i should swap my 4age for a ca18det?

i got a 4age 16v out of a ae82, comes with box, loom, computer and most of the things are still on the engine. i wanted to turbo this but come across a guy who wants to swap his ca18det for mine and a lil bit of cash his way. I'm just wondering what you guys believe is best to do? i am planning to do this conversion in a ke70 or possibly a ke55 so all the advice will help me out ALOT... also i want the car to be an all round car. but mainly fast streeter, and maybe a lil bit of drifter. also i want to get 300hp out of it but knew it would be a lil too expensive to do to my 4age so thats why i opted to do this SO THE BIG QUESTION IS TO CROSS-BREED OR NOT TO CROSS-BREED? cheers

well the only reason i got that much to spend is because if its gonna cost more than that id rather do another TRANSPLANT

yeh its allowed but the exhaust has to be a certain distance away from the last opening(door) so on 4doors no mmmmaybe on coupe but on utes and panelvans yep. can't remember the distance

thanks for all the advice. i just want to have something that'll kill most of those v8's at the cruise. like the idea of a side exhaust dumping out the side. the only thing is its illegal lol but if i do it ill probs just chop it a lil and hide it under the car instead of it saying "please pull me over now officer lol". so I'm still unsure but just really want to no what i can get the most power from without spending over 2k. anymore advice will help

KE55 with a ae82 4age, its a daily but turning into just a w/e car soon. buying a work van. i got a lil inspired of entering it next year in powercruise so i want something that will be fast but reliable.... well basically reliable enough to last the 4 days of powercruise lol. was thinking of putting quad throttles on but had also the idea of running 6-7 psi with a turbo.

guys i just like to no what you guys would think would be better to do. and for all the people that have done it can you tell me the certain power you made from doin either.

hey man love my 4age so what do you want to do with your car?? if your can't afford the fuel stick to the 4age... very reliable

depends on your budget and what your gonna do with it? 4age you can't go wrong not alot of work but if your going with the nissan motors its gonna be a lil harder but not impossible. scope out all the conversions in here and ask the people who have done them. I personally like 4age and got one in mine but as it goes its your own budget and your own preference.

can you guys help me out... I'm new to 4age's and need help. i want to know what you can do to them to get the most out of it. if you's can help me out it would be much appreciated. cheers
