  2. hey i was wondering if anyone knows of a good place in or around the penrith area that would weld up my diff. i don't want to spend to much money as it for my paddock basher thanks
  3. hey my 4k ke70 will not start. everytime i try to start it, the startermotor kicks in and the engine starts to turn but it wont kick over. this happened after i changed the battery, it was running fine before hand, i have checked all the connections around the battery but i can't find anything loose. it has got fuel i took off the fuel hose and there is fuel coming out. also when i push the accelerator i can see fuel being squrited into the carby i don't think its firing. is there a fuse or something that controls the coil that might have come loose that is located around the battery. I'm thinking about pulling apart the fuse box, the one near the battery to see if anything has come loose. i have checked all the fuse in it aswell but nothings blown. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks nathan
  4. my uncles going to weld it back on and while its out i might cut of the cat converter and have a side pipe going out
  5. I'm nearly finished hooking the fan up to see if it will do anything but i had a little incident today when i was driving there was a wierd noise coming from the engine i thought it might be a leek from the exhaust gasket but the noise got louder and louder till it was as loud as my muffler at the back of the car i check under the car and it seems that where the exhaust pipes join to one from the engine the pipe has completle seperated now i need a need a new pipe form the exhast manifold to past the cat converter
  6. i just for my paddock basher just wanted to see if it would do anything guess not
  7. hey i was wonder if would do anything if i hooked up the heater fan inside the car as a electric turbo supercharger thingy hook it up so that the outlet goes straight to the carby instead of that radiator thing that goes to the vents and i would be cool because i could adjust the speed of the fan thanks
  8. heres a pic of the thing i have to pump there is a spring which connects the throttle cord to the arm but it doesnt move the arm when u move the throttle
  9. yeah i do have a flat spot expecially on a cold start if i press it too hard the revs will drop and it will stall but it gets better as the car warms up
  10. when i move the throttle it doesnt move the pump arm is it ment to?
  11. all i do is pump it a couple time and it will start i just replaced my fuel filter a couple weeks ago and no its not in good maintenance it my paddock basher :lolcry: it just annoying everytime u want to go for a drive and u have to do that
  12. i don't no if the accelerator pump arm it just said it was a pump arm in my gregorys book yeah open the bonnet and pump the pump arm when i pump it i can see the fuel being squirted into the carby
  13. hey my carby isnt the best lately ive been having to on a cold startup pump the pump arm of my stock 4k carby to get fuel to the engine for it to start could there be something wrong with my fuel pump or is it the carby? thanks
  14. Is only been doing it lately my carby started stuffing up before and would stay at 3000rpm and wouldnt go down my grandfather had to take off the carby and fix it i think one of the butterflys or something was stuck open lately it just stays at 1500 to 2000 when i look at the carby the choke is closed just a little bit so i open it fully and it idles properly but when i rev the car it goes back up and idles at 1500 to 2000
  15. ok thanks for that i just wanted to no cause this car hits 5000 alot so i don't wont to be over heating the engine
  16. well my car idles a 1500 to 2000 rpm its doing it because the choke gets stuck open a bit when i push down the accelerator i have to manual go and close the choke so it idles properly but i will try keeping one open and see i it has any affect thanks
  17. i read somewhere that the original carby on the 4k it has two butterflies and one opens when u push down the accelerator and the other opens at high speed if thats true is there a way to make that both open at the same time? would this mean that i would have more power at lower rpm thanks
  18. i took out the heater out i had to take out the glove box and the part surrouding the radio and instrumental cluster. the two pipes that go to the box in the middle of the dash i just joined them together. because that box has a little radiator in it would this increase my chance of over heating my engine? thanks
  19. I'm removing it out of my paddock basher this car wont even touch the road
  20. Hey i would like to remove the heater out of my ke70 just to get rid of some weight as i don't use it i was wondering how i would remove it? and would there be thing that i would have to bypass? thanks
  21. nah to much work theres rust every where anyway if i was to do it up i would get an ae71 so it would be easier to do a 4age conversion
  22. HEY ALL Ive been driving paddock bashers for a very long time now 6 years :hmm: i started when i was in year 6 well now I'm sixteen got my l's and have owned 3 cars already not many people get that chance. well all of them totaled up to bout $2700 i started with a datsun 200b for 50 bucks i burnt out the 2ltr by only keeping it in 1st and second and reving the sh#t out, now it only runs on 3 cylinders and is so slow so now it is the car heaven and its remains are in the can of coke I'm drinking now. my second car is a toyota corolla seca ae92 i got it $2500 its a very good car my mum drives it on a daliy basis but when i get my p's i will and last but defintly not least i got a new paddock pasher another corolla but a ke70 good old 4k for $250 it is great desnt have as much power as the dat did when it was alive but is alot lighter and makes up for it. specs 4kc 5speed manual stuff ive done to it are: make a rear and front spoiler painted the bonnit, boot and wheels black took rear mufller of so it sounds louder install 5" tacho which i got of ebay white dials made my self got my tape player out of my seca and put it in it debadged and taken the black rubber things of the side and thats it hope you guys like it
