  1. G'day, I'm glad to see people still use the forums, Facebook groups suck.

I did a quick search and there doesn't appear to be a thread dedicated to Toyota Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPC's), so I've started one.

I've found these sites. I haven't used all of them, so I don't know how far back they go or how accurate their info is.

    1. https://toyota.epc-data.com/
    2. http://www.japan-parts.eu/
    3. https://toylexparts.com/
    4. https://www.toyodiy.com/parts/

I have just re-installed the 2004 Toyota EPC with CD's:

    General A1          General A2          General B1          General B2          Euro A1          Euro A2          Euro B1          Euro B2          Frame F1 (Japan)          Frame F1 (Overseas)          Frame F2 (Overseas)          Japan A1          Japan A2          Japan B1          Japan B2          Japan B3          Toyota EPC USA 2004 A1          Toyota EPC USA 2004 A2

    I've also just acquired a 1997 EPC with CD's:

    Japan 1997 A1          Japan 1997 A2

If someone has a FTP site with more then 3.4GB, then 2004 catalogue could be shared. The 1997 catalogue is only 500MB.

The reason that I'm working on EPC's is, that I'm trying to find info on my 1977 KE35. My compliance plate fell off not long after I got it (2007/2008) and the rego has the wrong details on it (original sale date, 09/1978, when the first owner purchased it from a Toyota dealer was used). I'm hunting parts again and an accurate details would make it easier.

If anyone has an EPC that covers the Australian built KE3x series', I'd love to get a copy from you.

  2. This is what I was worried about.

If I remember correctly, the Aust compliance plate has chassis number, engine number, build date, GMV and a few other important ones.

This plate was riveted on and the rivets rusted off while driving. The indesructability of the 3K means I don't look under the bonnet often so I can't say it fell off in any particular area.

  3. I have a bit of a delema and I'm not too sure how bad a thing this is (concerning rego and defects and stuff)?

The other day I noticed that I now only have the Toyota build plate and no longer have the second Australian Compliance plate in the engine bay. Is it possible to get Toyota to make another one for me? What will the Transport Department say if I have to get it inspected? Less plates in the engine bay is a good thing (looks neater) in my book (especially when I start getting mod plates) but I don't want it to be something that will cause trouble for me in the future.

  4. I have a KE35 and have 6 (I think) different wiring diagrams in my Haynes Corolla 1200 manual, and my KE35 doesn't seam to match any of those diagrams, so I say there is more then 7. The diagrams are also for ?? to '78 and cover 3(??) variants of the 3K engine.

  5. I had a similar problem. It started with my KE35 taking a lot longer to start and then progressed to it not winding over at all (couldn't even here the solenoid clicking over) but I had dash lights and the stereo could still play at full noise/lights shine as bright as always. I've put it down to melted wires. The control wire for the solenoid and another wire that comes off the battery (I haven't looked it up yet) had heat damage. Heat damage can be as subtle as the wires just going soft, so it's not always easy to spot.
