Yep you need to use the disc axles. Using the drum axles will ruin the wheel bearings. Did this conversion on my VL few years ago. Fairly easy to do.

Hey mate i'm just curious how you went about making up the engine mounts for your 20v setup. I'm looking to put one in my gf's ke55 in the next few weeks.

So does anyone make these sega style RC stickers anymore? Very keen on getting some.

I'm definately interested in the sega style rolla club stickers. Also the graffiti style one is kool too. If you guys remake the sega style ones, i'll take 3.

Hey olskool, Good work on the conversion. Can see you've put alot of work into this. I'm looking at doing a 20v blacktop conversion on my girlfriend's ke55. Thanks for all the info. How much would you be after to remake a set of ur custom engine mounts? Which model laser did you get ur rubber mounts from? Also how r you going to mount the gearbox into the car? Does the tunnel need to be cut/widened and shifter relocated etc? Are you making the custom tailshaft urself? Just curious on these things as i'm very keen to get started on my conversion. I'm going with the whole dummy car idea aswell so my girlfriend can keep driving

Hey guys, Ive been having a search through the site and can't find any info on this. I am looking for a diff for a ke55. The wreckers asked me if they were 8 or 9 inch drums on mine. Mine have 9 inch. My question is, can you swap the 9 inch drums onto an 8 inch drum diff housing? My diff is a borg warner. Also is the 8 inch drum diff the one without a sway bar? Any info on this would be appreciated as my current diff isnt going to last much longer. Thanks.
