  1. Spotted me looking in a window reflection and realising I'm driving a KE70 again.... ewwwww :blinks:

The 70 is up for sale too? whats next Datsun 1200,1600,stanza or 240Z ? ;P AWWWW cmon only razzzin.

  2. Andddddddd I wasnt doing 140km/h sir.

I got done doing 108km/h in a 100km/h zone, yet speedo was reading 100km/h when I got done.

No No quite fair, i said i had to do 140 to keep up meaning to catch ya then we settled somewhere about 120 but i think my speedo is 5k out

  3. Bigport setups usally go for 800-1200 in good condition, or less depending on if someone hasn't opened the engine up, mixed up the caps and lost the bolts.

Id say a running smallport would be worth 1400-1600 loom, computer and engine complete all ancillaries.

    T50's usally start at 200

Just my 2 cents worth, prices do change per state, QLD has most of the good stuff and cheap.

  4. That was me.

Speedo was out in the red rocket and I didnt know, hence the speeding fine.

Speedo is dead on accurate in the Chaser though, so it shouldnt happen this time.

yeh wonder why i had to do 140 to keep up :)shit happens.

The more expensive ones are the Dayz edition RS FOUR "S" that have the R33 GTS-4 running gear alsomst like GTR but not or the heavy duty stuff that is GTR running gear such as the Stagea 260 RS

the stagea section on SAU if very informative and the tech guys are very helpful if you need food for thought.

its hard some times making the plunge to buy an import but at the end of the day if you need hoses or brakes ect the net is your friend, maybe your wallet not so much if everything to fix the car needs importing but thats what imports are all about having something different.

I love the look of Legnum's but after working for the mitsi dealer for over 6 years and working on FTO's,VR 4's,3000GT,EVO ect ect not a big fan on the reliability of gearboxes and driveline.

so budget is 15k, what are you prepared to spend on general maintenance ? Stagea parts are actually quite cheap for a late 90's vehicle.

  6. sorry to dig up this old thread but it very worthy !!

Guys found me the original slush puppy machine the other day !!!

5 flavours and the lot, at marion fitness and lesiure just off oaklands rd or daws road (near the intersection of morphett road) had one just the other day ... me and the mrs have searched far

    and wide !!!

Awesome keep up the good work :)

  7. No. Its fine. Goes better since I put new plugs in it.

The first motor he killed for me is an ongoing topic of discussion.

I'm not waging a vendetta against him. I made my complaints to the appropriate authorities, I've done what I can, warned a few mates and put more story out there. I'm not going to stalk him and harass him.

Lets all put this in the past, learn something and move on.

sorry didnt realise about the other motor and not upto to speed with the story :P

can't wait to see more great things, you have inspired me and with my build with everything you have acheived.

will the car be getting some paint in the near future ?

  8. I gues the UK wheels over Aus wheels are cheap if you lived in the uk but by the time you covert 100 pounds to Aus dollar its 160 ish and then add frieght and customs my guess is that the cost would cancel out. Id just buy the Aus made ones based on if you like the style rather than performance. 9.2 kg aus supplier.

The magnesium wheels (light weight) offered by the UK suppliers are 395 pounds which makes them 670 ish Aus dollar thats alot of a price difference also considering the aus alternative is 330 aus for 7.4 kg (GTR light)but that would probably still be heavier than the uk wheel at half the cost.

I can see the point made if chasing performance go the lightest wheel and i agree.

  9. There is superlite Australia wheel (shit) and superlite brand made in England. Not worth it if you looking at light weight wheels above 13/14inch, better options. (Just saw you saying you wanted 13 doooo)

$120 is what is quoted on there site. Goes up to $180 if you want polished / differant colours IIRC.

So what your saying is Aus superlites are poor quality and over priced and UK superlites are cheap and are of high quality ? sorry if i misunderstood.
