Ok well when i went to change my head gasket i rounded a bolt near the front near the coolant pipe and just seeing on what is the best way to get it out i was thinking grinding or fileing two flats on each side and doing it with a wrench. ANyone have any helpful ideas?? cheers rundelll

I ripped all that stuff out of my ke55 for my turbo 4k didnt seam to hurt it but i only had my car running for a bit before the head gasket to blow. Ill try get a pic of it for you if its like the ke55 one it should be like a cylinder thing on the right of the carby

ah sorry bout late reply been trying to find another motor. I found out i forgot to tie the dizzy down and change the timing before i started the turbo so i blew its head gasket so thats why it was blowing smoke and on 2 cylinders :hmm: then to make it worse snapped a bolt in the block haha ohwell got another 4k now hopefully don't destroy this one

Yeh i was thinking that cos my uncle does that kinda stuff. Just have to get the engine out now :y: stupid turbo haha but might still look for a 4k to wack in until i do it

haha no need to woryr now just stuffed it up one of the bolts snapped in the block :y: now i need a new motor :hmm:

Well i got to change the head gaskeyt on my 4k and just wondering if i jsut undo all the bolts under the rocker cover and it should just leaver off? bloody hasnt been changed in a while one of the bolts snapped :y: so now i gotta get that off

Ok well i got my 4k turbo running now it is blowing a shitload of smoke out of the exhaust and onluy running on two cylinders does anyone know what is wrong:S

yeah i know. i should get an exhaust soon, just gotta fix turbo before i drive it cos oil and coolant keeps leaking out of the turbo.

haha nahh about a half a metre gap between the exhaust and the dump pipe, gotta get a new exhaust soon yeah that spool whine sounds sick.

Ok both ground wires are connected but still wont turn over :y: i just wanna see if it runs :hmm: haha

ha well i havent got that far yet batterys just sitting in engine for now just seeing if the car starts first haha then i have to put the battery in the boot or I'm just going to put it on the other side and remove my aircon. But i shall try with the earth wires now and hopefully that works if not ill just call RAA and say i broke down haha and they should fix it

Where is the engine ground wires?

ahk i might try that test but its not the battery tried battery out of amtes car aswell and even jumpstarting i was looking around at another topic and something about the ground wire from engine to chasis might not be right. everything e;ectrical works but car wont turn over propaly i might try that test tommoro

I psoted this in car electrical but thought i would post here cos need a response quick haha Well ive just added my turbo to my 4k and now when i turn the key on the ignition it turns over for a few clicks but sounds flat but the battery is charged and i have also tried jumpstarting it and it still wont click over properly :y: Does anyone know what the problem could be? help would be appreciated because car wont start

No I'm not asking if turboing my 4k is a gd idea haha. I Have taz_rxs old setup just wondering if someone can help me with the ct12 turbo. Does anyone know where the pipe with the arrow is suppose to go to? and there also is two pipes under the turbo a thin one and a fat one what are they suppsoe to go to? or if anyone has like a paint drawing or just some pics if someone has same setup showing where the pipes go cheers. i have asked taz_rx but seeing if i get a quiker answer here cos can't drive car until i get it done and just double checking where to put pipes in case i put it in wrong place. thanks. :yes:

This question keeps popping up and people keep getting the same answers go searching this has been covered heaps. I'm turboing my 4k now with taz_rxs old setup. Just stock carby ct12 turbo and ke70 manifold and a lot of hard work easier to get a 5k or something

Yeh i made a box just not wide enough :yes: just eager to put turbo in haha so just going to run it threw air filter until i make up new box.

Well i made a full box to put carby in for turbo put then relised the vaccum thing sticks out so i can't use it. Would it make much different if i just welded up the air filter box on top of it and used that for the inlet for the boost? or do you have to seal up the whole carby? Hopefully that makes sense and someone can help me out.

ok works now just the pin dosent sit on 0 and sitting below and i am about 20ks slower on the speedo :dance: think i just have to hold needle on 0 when i connect cable maybe??

Ill check that later tried to have a look before the pin was square but couldnt see it in the cluster to see if it line up propaly. ohwell just have to guess my speed for now will have a look at fixing it tommorow thanks for the help
