how do you take the water tube off the bonnet?? so i can get the bonnet off? like where it is connected for the water to go on the windscreen help pleasee wanting to do it asap

well if acrylic is for Diy users I'm pretty sure we will be using 2pack, dad painted his old van a few years ago and his corolla QUITE a few years ago so he has experience. I'm doing all the prepping. (sanding) and he is doing all body work and painting as he knows what he is doing. is great having a mechanic for a dad haha and for that strung out thing, was there when i got it, what the hell is it :no2:

yeah i realise i would have to paint interior and engine bay thats the only thing stopping me from doing it white :dance: next paint job it gets shal be white though and i have no idea, what is the difference in the paints.. i just want it shiny :no2:

Taking some proper side pics tonight when i get home in the sun :no2: ran out of primer yesterday so wasnt able to finish the driver side, so that will be done probably soon, I'm guessing it will be painted in about 2-3 weeks :dance:

got some paint stripper today for the pillar vents. it actually didnt turn out that bad. unfortunately whoever painted them had sanded the chrome a bit so paint will work better :'( but they turned out pretty good ;) primed the grille today, still in process uploading i think 15 pictures now :'( shal put them up once they are done :jamie: and so driving with first coat of primer till summer is a no no??

was just wondering, for when the time comes, how wouldi go about making a custom type dash? is there anything i would need to know other than making it fit in properly? is it very difficult? of course wont be doing this anytime soon but i just want to know anything i can about it. ;) thanks and your thoughts on my idea of just priming it then putting it back together, driving it then painting it in summer when it WILL be warm enough to make the paint awesome?? :'( remembering I'm on my L's with 0 hours :jamie: since october last year.

After reading through this topic, makes me want to spray my car white and give it wheels with hubcaps and white walls looks so overrated :jamie:

luckily i hadnt sanded the vents enough to get through the paint at all so they are still pretty good :jamie:

so umm a bit of update. but not on car. i wont be able to do work to it soon as thismorning on way to school a went to cross street to walk towards LC (the street with fire station on it) and i kinda got hit by a car :dance: the gay thing about it though the stupid :sob: hit me when i was crossing at a green man :wink: so spent most of today in hospital but its al good nothing broken :cool: got a sprained ankle or something and it hurts so much to walk on and i can't move my elbow at all really :P

well pillar vents havnt been chromed :sob: yet :wink: does anyone know something that will get the paint off them and leave the chrome to avoid having to get them re done? thanks :dance:

rear pillar vents taken off and today dad was going to get them chromed or get a price or something, havnt been home yet to ask :sob:

yeah I'm painting under the vent flap where the fuel cap is and I'm pretty sure dad is planning on taking the other vent off anyway :blush: but thanks for tellin me about overspray on the rear window i wouldnt have thought of that :dance:
