  3. Well ive been on the hunt for a ke26 in tidy condition ever since i brought my ke25 5yrs ago! an one finally came up worthy of handing the $ over for this week! So now the shed has an original ke20 4dr, ke25, an this ke26... New addition to the family.. purchased off trademe this week. This is what the add said: "Brand new warrant and 6 months registration. In good condition considering its nearly 40 years old. 4k motor with after market exhaust and lumpy cam. Starts everytime as K motors do. White wall tyres Chrome fender mirrors AA Badge Deluxe seats Saas Steering wheel Lowered front and rear Custom Toyota side strips" looking forward to its arrival... wont be starting work on it until I'm back in the country for xmas. Future plans are to restore it back to factory. Car has arrived at home now, I'm still over in Perth until xmas holidays so when I get back ill get into it an do some work on it to match my other 2 cars an make it a bit more original... removal of the 4k an replace with 3k, suspension change, new exhaust, 12" rims with hubbies n whitewalls, remove stereo an steering wheel etc... alot of personal touches really... Enjoy... will update when i get new pics an works taken place
  4. rito, my s3 rx7 starter motor gave up! grrr the bushes are completely gone, rest looks ok, but not 100% sure. is there any places in kewdale/welshpool that recon them? its an 11 tooth item from a s3 rx7 12a 5spd manual. s3 has an odd ball tooth config (more crankning rating apparently) will buy new but where to get them? help! thanks
  5. 1970 Toyota KE20 Corolla Brought this as a daily run-a-round back at the start of 2009 original 3k 4spd etc. Fixed what needed to be done at the time an drove it for a good 4-6mnths as my daily. Until the exhaust manifold gaveup yet again so i decided to do the KIWI thing an "chuck a rota in it au" Sourced a 12a 6port block from a cosmo, with 4barrel cabbie jetted for a bridgeport, & extractors brought a complete RX7 s1 for the g/box, driveshaft, wiring bits, radiator, coolers etc (basicly the whole package bar the motor) Stript the KE20 engine bay down, welded in the mounts, made the adjustments for the booster. Test fitted a dummy block/gbox in there. got it all sorted. Painted it with a coat of white paint, an black bits where needed. Dropt the motor an everything back in, got everything mounted an ready for wiring. fitted ke55 disc front brakes. All wired an started it up. Heres how she looks now... CURRENTLY FORSALE!!! Due to ownership of a few vehicles an the cost of Regos being high!

  9. Hmmm Ill try bring the Rota KE20 but I don't think I will be within the criteria above, especially the "Cops won't target" bit... loud dodgy rota! haha All going to plan it should be ready to be unleashed onto the streets in the next few weeks.
  10. Anyone in Perth work at a brake shop? or a hose doctor type shop? I need some brakelines flexable made up for my ke20. any sugestions of where to go for a decent job at a good price would be much appreciated cheers
  11. Looks clean bro! as for the grille ive got a few in Perth an a stockpile of nearly all jap spec ke3# grilles sitting in NZ gathering dust... if anyone wants to make an offer on them
  12. hmm the old rxKE20 will be going by then so may just make an appearance! in the final stages now of getting her to brake an quieten the exhaust note so its cop freindly :)
  13. All sorted! managed to make it fit today with a bit of perseverance, fits in snug next to the clutch master cylinder. Few more things to do an it shud be nearly ready to hit the streets
  14. OK, so I'm doing a rotary conversion on my ke20. I have a RX7 series 1 brakebooster to go in. Ive cut away all the un-necessary sheet metal in the way. Have got to this problem, i have to enlarge the 40mm standard ke20 hole to 50mm to accomodate the rx7 booster, Just wanting to know what sort of tools i will require to achive this? Or will i be beter of using a KE55 booster?
  15. If I'm around ill bring the 10 along to burn out the cobwebs
