I was heaps behind in school coz I had 3 days off being really sick and its the last week so like 4 assignments were due and I finished them all this morning! Yay I love life right now! Until I have to actually do exam revision :jamie: (I'm meant to be doing it now but there's no point doing maths in the computer room and not going on RollaClub!) Edit: Oh yeah and my huge omg is my rego ran out yesturday and my parents aren't renewing it until I get my P's! (Probably a month or so :yes: )

I'm still trying to figure put what a key banger is... I'm geussing its a back fire when you turn the car off and then on again while your driving? What that be right??

Well... This one day we were taking my Rolla food shopping for the first time ever and I parked her under ground in a nice little empty corner of the car park, (I'm still on my L's and this was after like two months of driving... I still can't 90 degree park :bash: ) and as my parents and I were coming towards it with our trolley full off food I was looking at it and noticed that... There were no cars around it ANYWHERE and the fluro lights were making the yellow, well, fluro and it was as if a beam had come down from heaven right on my car with angels standing around it in a circle holding up their hands in praise singing "ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" and it was absolutely amazing. Just thought I'd share.

I agree with that, that just because people don't like a piece of art doesn't mean its not art. Some people are just too narrow minded to understand this, and some are just scared to feel a little bit uncomfortable.

Well considering "someone" reported Bill Hensen's art and got him in trouble wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that someone would report the photos that were extremely inappropriate? Today's society seems to place a whole lot more emphasis on kiddy porn than theft so it would be reasonable to say that it would get stopped, yes.

This is exactly what I was trying to say. There's little more for me to say right now. And Falken_ke30, that's what I hate as well. Its so ridiculous how parents can allow their kids to wear those clothes, yet the very same parents are outraged by art such as Bill Hensen's and stuff.

I understand your point of view, and I agree that it would not be easy to appreciate art like this if you're not an artistic person, but I'm sure there was some point to it. Did you see the actual performance? Maybe there was more to it that whoever told forgot to add, maybe there was a specific reason for it. I understand that a person like that would affect a younger generation negatively, but maybe he only allows himself to be like that for art? Maybe its his personal release? I get it if your repulsed and I can see why, but maybe there is another side to it that we cannot see, or maybe you are explaining it with bias. Who knows? But you do make a very valid point. You make a very valid point, and I agree with that. I never thought of it that way, and now I understand how it could be pushed further and further. But at a stage where it got that bad that it would be dangerous and pornographic someone would intervene, and that wouldn't be so unreasonable because people could see that it was wrong.

After all that garbage about the sexualisation of children in Bill Hensen's art and all that jazz I decided to use it as a topic for my Aus Studies Issues Study Assignment. It also made me wonder... How far is too far?? When does art become pornographic? I personally think art is art and it only becomes dangerous to the kids if you can see their privates. Just because I wouldn't like my stuff shown to the world, its private. But their back? or legs? If the naked back of a little girl turns some guy on, what's the problem with it to the rest of the world? Obviously he has problems, but how would that hurt the child?? I'm sure many people look at artistic nudes of older people and get revved up over it, its just so different because their kids. I understand that they're too young to make decisions and understand the consequences of the world seeing them naked, but as I said, as long as you can't see anything private I think it should be allowed. And if little girls aren't allowed to look sexual in art, why are they allowed to play with Bratz dolls in their mini-skirts and hooker boots, and tatts and piercings? I was in Toys r Us the other day and saw a Barbie spin the bottle game aimed at little girls with truth or dare questions about kissing boys and stuff. And a few months ago there were Mary Kate and Ashley g-strings for five year olds! Its all good to influence the kids as much as you like with toys and games and clothes, but as soon as you involve them in art it perverse and inapropriate. A huge part of art is about pushing boundries and making a statement. Hensen and many other artist use young kids in their art to symbolise vulnerability and innocence in such a messed up world. What are your opinions on the issue??

I had that. Exercising works, but I had these natural tablets that were like sleeping pills, but sleeping pills just knock you out, you don't actually sleep, your body gets no rest, it just stops working. So i used the natural ones and they worked they make you actually sleep. You can get them from natural health stores or whatever they're called. I think pharmacies also have them, though I'm not quite sure. And don't go thinking I'm a natural greeny and swear by that stuff just coz its natural, bekeive me, I practically live off codein. lol

I quite like their new album, its different, change is fun. But it's not bad different. Its not as good as their old stuff, but its still good. I like gehenna. Its heaps different and wierd. Strangely enough the chorus sounds a bit like a Misfits song hahaha but yeah its cool. I'm surprised they didn't play All Hope Is Gone, considering that's the name of the tour... But yeah, they brought their hydraulics and all for the first time to Australia, it was crazy. But I couldn't see any. Huge men in the mosh. Not transparent. You know their entire set (hydraulics, purotechnics, instuments and all) weighs 11 TONNES!

Yeah well it said it was sold out in Adelaide but they were selling tickets at the door. It might have been the same in Sydney. Ahh well. They were pretty amazing. And they brought their whole set, with hydraulics and all. It was awesome.

I went to the Adelaide show last night and it was amazing! Just wondering if any other rolla drivers are awesome and went. Discuss set lists/supporting bands/venue/etc etc At Adelaide they played: Iowa played over the P.A. Surfacing The Blister Exists Get This Before I Forget Liberate Disasterpiece Dead Memories Psychosocial The Heretic Anthem Prosthetics Spit It Out Duality Only One Encore: (515) People=Shit (sic) It was at Jubillee Pavillion at the Showgrounds which I thought was really good, heaps of space, pretty poor acoustics though.
