How Many Tries Did It Take To Get Your Licence?
Lexxi[ke35] replied to chrisandliz's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
If you're talking about L's..... took me three, not because I sucked, but because I had legal issues. The first time: I didn't have the right proof of address because i don't have a letter box at home, I have a post box, and they didn't accept what I gave them. The second time: I had changed my last name in court to my mother's last name about two years before I went for them and the court notice wasn't "legal enough" for the registry blokes so I had to go to some other government place to fill out this form for a hundred dollars and wait for three/four weeks for them to basically glue the court notice to the back of my birth certificate, even though I had it paper clipped to it anyways. The third time: Got a JP (who was a local cop that knows my family) to sign some thing saying my residential address, but that wasn't good enough, but they let me take the test and if I passed I could go to the bank and get a lady to hand-write my name and address on a piece of paper with the bank header and take it back to the registery place to get my licence, which I did. :y: So I would've got my L's about a month earlier if karma didn't hate me so much :o But the stuff you have to go through for the government is ridiculous! Like, they didn't accept a Justice of the Peace thing over a hand written address on a bank piece of paper! :bash: Bloody ridiculous. -
I want to know if the old owner of my car is on these forums. My parents bought it in about March/April/ possibly Febuary, around the parafield area of SA. Looks like this (haven't done anything externally on her since bought): And has Transformers stickers on the back windows, one purple, one red. Is a 4k, 4 speed manual, converted from 3k auto. Ke35 1976?? With a crazy Japanese version of Pioneer DVD player thing.

Woot! fellow L Plated rolla driver! High Five!! Anyway... I'd agree about the rims but I guess you do have to see it in real life to really know. Neons are cool, just remember not to show them too much in public, the cops'll go after you hard. Especially being a L dude. The speakers look huge in there hey!! they're cool though. Very nice car you got there. Many youngens would love a nice lookin' old school rolla.

I should call it the yellow submarine!!! Na I was thinking the gecko, simply because on one of my $3 adventures down to the reject shop I found a yellow gecko air freshner. I didn't buy it though, I like the smell of my car. Or maybe Polly. Or Polly the Gecko. Or Alfred.

Lexxi[ke35] replied to JiP's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
ha yeah we thought my dog got bitten by a brown snake whilr killing it, drove around a couple hours and rang a thousand places to find a vet thats open. Turns out it was a forty degree day and he passed out from exhaustion from chasing the hose as we washed the cars. -
This may sound crazy... but I swear I've been in this place in a dream! Where is it??

Yellow ke35 hardtop. :bash: Any ideas??
-
Ahh cool. Thankyou. :S

I snapped mine when I took it off. :S But I had a spare. But yeah my mum's boyfriend is a panel beater so he helped but we still found it difficult, something in it was seized up or something... It was more difficult to put it back in because it was hard to line up the two wiper things in the holes.
-
It could be the carby, but also if you have a sports exhaust it could have too much or a lack of back pressure which causes crap fuel economy... Also mayba a hole in your exhaust???
-
Alright. About how much is that??

Hey when I bought my beautiful ke35 hardtop it had already a sports exhaust put in it which I loved at first, before I could hear the loudness and droning of it. Now I'm getting sick of it coz I can't listen to music or even have a conversation while I'm driving and gives me crazy headaches. I have a spare original exhaust at home an dthinking of trying it out, but I still want some noise in there, just not as loud and droning as it is now. Any idea how to fix it?? Cheers, :S Lexxi
