Just a quick question, can I use a silvertop timing gear on the blacktop 20v, just hard to find a blacktop 20v timing gear for the inlet, apparantly it is going to take a month for the blacktop one to be shipped out from japan. But i know someone i can get a silvertop one from, so just wondering if its possible, i do know that the blacktop timing belt has an extra tooth compared to the silver top so it might be a pretty stupid question in that sense, but i still want to make sure.

What time is it on wednesday nights? i've always wanted to go, with my rolla, but never actually have... hate going to things alone n such... might be coool

Hey i recently purchased a new cluster, cause my one was stuffed with the oil pressure gauge and one of the light bulbs wouldnt work on it, was the actual circuit of the old cluster, never the less, i purchased a new one. and i wanted to put my white face speedo gauges on them, soo i took apart the cluster thinking it was easy... and i took off the hands and everything put the white faces on and tried it all out.... none worked... soo i assumed the hands might be the issue, soo had a bit of a play around and got the heat gauge, speedo, revmeter and battery meter working, its just the fuel and oil pressure gauges that don't work and i still suspect the speedo hands, i was wondering if someone could give me some direction how to do it, or have someone in mind that i can take it to, to fix it all up for me. i live in sydney :P My dad needs the car asap, thats y i tried to do everything hands on myself....stuffed that up :P HELP PLEASE! ;)

I need a mechanical engineer to certify my car for nsw roads, its a ae92 sx with 20valve blacktop conversion, anyone got any people that are cheap n get the job done :P I'm kinda strapped for cash atm with uni n stuff, but i really need my car on the road soo i can get to uni n stuff, soo HELPPPP PLEASEEEE. Could just be the the ecu, i mean thats something that should of been replaced with a 20v ecu when u had the conversion done. Might be able to pick one up frmo just-japs or something, cause yea the ecu can have weird effects on the mechanical side of the car if its running just a 4age ecu on a 20v twincam, i don't know if it could have major issues, because they both twincam 4a's, but yea i would get that replaced. Cause when i bought my 20v off my mate, he just bought the frontcut off a ae111, and that has the ecu n all that, n jst got his mechanic to put it in and yea, runs good ;)

Hello, I'm a newbie to the whole cars scene, well relatively, i owned a prelude before i purchased this corolla. i just purchased this short shifter, cause i thought that it would be easier to shift gears in, cuz currenty when i chuck it in second, it gets stuck before getting in, and its really annoying, makes me look stupid soo i purchased this short shifter off ebay, and i want to know if it would make it easier to shift gears in, my current shifter has been cut, to be shorter, but i thought short shifters are able to make changing gears 50% more easier or something. i really should of asked here before purchasing it... :lol:
