So the projects been moving slower with school starting and other stuff but here's a little heads up...
RIP
Killin some rust...
Making the hole bigger for the gas tank...
How to hold stuff up while you replace a crossmember? Zipties of course!
Gettin ready for paint and stuff...
Interior nice and black...
With a coat of sparkle on top...
Motor's getting gussied up before heading into the bay. T3 sent me the wrong parts for the second time, but unlike last time took care of the situation right away. Lot's of dumb stuff making it move slow lately like the x-member being bent and also a strut casing as well as losing some small parts I need, but I'm aiming for it to be done by the 23rd for DrifFest.
Oooh I'll play this game also :angrybird:
So here's my car shortly after I bought her about 4 years ago sitting next to my brothers FC...
Blew the motor so I swapped in a hi-comp redtop block and redid the head...
Lowered her and put some SSR Colins on...
Hittin events up non stop after that...
Shortly before her demise...
Shortly after...
:D
So I bought another Corolla for daily driver duties. She's a beautifull 1975 Corolla Deluxe (TE31). The paint is VERY nice as is the interior. There's only a little rust around the boot and 2 minor tears in the drivers side seat. She's powered by a 2T now but I plan on putting in a 3T block with the 2T head, Weber 32/36, cam, headers, and exhaust and call it good as well as lowering her and tinting the windows. What do you guys think?
Maxed out the NRCA's :D
Mmmmm, Goodridge lines all around
Gas lines and brake lines are in now and so is the pretty blue CMC
WOO f@$kIN HOO dual headlight conversion to get rid of those gross rectangles!
The headache begins...
Got some other boring stuff done that wasn't worth pictures like swapping everything from a bent strut casing to an unbent one and further cleaning of the interior/exterior. More updates soon and often :angrybird:
What you need to cut out to use the 86 steering rack...
Using the 86 rubber booty...
This would not bolt up so Jesse ground down the mounting tabs and we used washers...
86 booster and BMC will work but you must use the TE CMC unless you want to drill some holes...
All in all I'm happy there's no more steering box :D
Using the TE tophats...
AE crossmember is a direct bolt-in...
Almost...
Done.
Mmmm...
More updates tomorrow!
R&P, SS lines, TRD 6k springs, AGX 4 way adjustables, rebuilt calipers, Brembo blanks, PBR MetalMaster pads...
I'm so excited :D
