i also thought that as well so i will check out this engine bottom that has been offered... having trouble finding an SC14 on the budget... or one at all...

oh so a complete 5k engine is a must have on my shopping list... and with the supercharger kit on my current engine is it going to be ok? I preferably don't want to blow anything. I'm assuming I'm looking for a SC14? I will have a look out for one but keep the 5K my number 1 priority. thanks guys

Hey all first of all i own a 1981 KE55 Coupe (RWD) it has a Stock 3 Speed Automatic 4K-C Engine which has just clocked 105,000 K's. I would like to overhaul the engine something like the one 1JZKe55 is selling here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=35446 I have gone gaga for the engine in this car and as i haven't got the $$ to buy it outright i would have to buy the stuff from here and there each week. The thing that is troubling me the most is where to start? I need to find a key starting point where i can keep the car i have on the road as much as possible yet keep the engine construction under way. Any tips, help, places to shop, people who are selling parts that are needed. I need all the help i can get on this car. I'm trying to find a 5K engine Raffs Rolla has offered a 5K bottom but I'm not sure what i need to add to that to make it complete. Then i think should i be getting the 5K first or getting the other parts like extractors, efi, turbo, supercharger and so on.... I'm lost in all the parts.. Can someone give me a tiny kick in the a$$ towards the right direction please and then keep kicking me later on whenever i get stuck like this :P Thanks all Tyler.

that looks very nice mate. i might give the grill one a try... don't know if i can be stuffed with the filter box... whats the rough price for a piece as big as the grill...

where did you use it on the grill just in the small part under the numberplate that is set back a bit? could you please send a photo of it for me and the dimensions of it. might go grab a piece and cut it up to shape for mine. thanks

Talked to a freind, he said they are great little goers. and the price is good but he said trying to do do the engine rebuild will be a massive pain in the ass and i could never fit a turbo in there anywhere... so thinking maybe not the car I'm after... unless i am convinced otherwise.

interested, what would it take to get it reg'd and on the road ready to drive to NSW you say "the rings are worn so after a while like 15 20 min it makes some smoke" what do you mean by this? and what the damage when this happens?

oh ok thats what i needed to hear... so i already have one... that makes a shit load of sense now, the way i saw it before as it just slips over the motor i have now.... but this would replace the part on my motor... so it just a polished up part that is already on mine?
