Think I'm chasing a boost leak now..... Can only seem to get 3lb now since I have changed a few things in the piping! :bash:
-
Yeah Dave, it autotunes on the fly now which is awesome!!! Then once you are happy with it you just hit the burn button. Haha yeah right Stu, I did notice the dizzy had been ground out abit! Might put some more timing in it when I sort out a few little things! :)
-
Thanks Si, ended up getting a lend of a friends laptop which is meant to last a few hours. So I will get he auto tune running and go for a decent drive either today or tomorrow! :)
-
Haven't tried playing around with the Idle valve yet, Being working on the tune. How much timing were you running Stu? I hope 18 is alright haha The autotune is pretty good with this ecu, Just need to take it for a good long drive underload. :) Just need to get a laptop where the battery lasts longer then 20 mins haha
-
Yeah I still have it on there but have no plug for it at all. Might have a play around with it oneday. Played with the Fuel tune tonight. Coming up alright hopefully take it for a drive this weekend :) Got about 18 degrees in it at the moment aswell

Idle control valve, Megasquirt manual calls it a PWM.... haha
-
Hopefully that sr20 one works out for you man!! Yeah Ill give your old one a run, Ignition control would be awesome haha. Are you running the pwm valve thingy on your setup Si? Thinking about hooking it up if I can find a plug that fits!
-
Haha nah still running coil negative for the time being, waiting for you to sort out a good option for a CAS :P I'm just wanting to be able to drive it without fowling plugs so I can do a motorkahana next month I think it is
-
Well went for a megasquirt 2 ecu, hooked it up today and it started first try! Just need to fine tune the readings for my airtemp and water temp sensors then give the autotune system a run. Very user friendly when connecting the computer to it, thinking about getting an rs232 to bluetooth adaptor so I can then tune it on MSdroid off either my phone or tablet! :)

Yeah sweet, I can get the E8 pretty cheap so might give that a try. :)
-
Yeah right, Whats the sprint worth. About a grand I guess. Mate has offered me a Haltech E8
-
Yeah no dramas stu, I'm sure I can find something around the place, Not sure if I would be waisting my time with a megasquirt or not..... Decisions haha
-
Yeah sweet, will have a play this weekend and put some more into it, Not to fussed on price, Just want something decent that will do the job and maybe handle upgrades in the future.
-
Yeah righto I might put abit more into it then! Nope haven't heard anymore about it at all. Selling my thumpster on saturday so will have some cash for a new ecu :) What ever I find I guess.
-
Yeap heaps better with the Airbox, Think I have it at about 15 at the moment. Running 5k flattop pistons and 4k head at approx 32cc. Found a megasquirt ecu on here forsale. Not sure if I should give that a go on this setup. I like the idea of DIY

Short Video of old and new setup. Still working on tune for new setup :)
-
Yeap connected up those hoses like you said stu. She is making 7lb according to the boost guage. Goes really well. Heaps more responsive then my hilux haha Sounds good Si
-
I'm not going to be running any locked diff at all. Maybe for a motorkahan one day. Yeah same setup that stu was running
-
Yeah I'm thinking I may need something like that, Si did give me a weldy tho. Hmmmm haha Think my biggest draw back is the 20 year old ecu, loves to drink the fuel haha
-
Well went for a decent drive tonight and got a good tune in it, Abit rough putting around below 3 grand which I think has to do with the Cam being so big. Was abit rough even with my webers. Goes well, abit of a hand full in the rain. Almost rolling on third in wet and just silly in any gear below that. Looking forward to a drive in the dry so I can get the power down. Video to come
-
Haha haven't driven it that far yet mate, only been up and down the street a few times, Very difficult to try and tune and drive at the same time, does have heaps of torque tho. So awesome..... Istalled an airbox aswell which has taken away abit of the induction and blow off noise :)
-
Hopefully taking it for a run tomorrow night mate, Just been trying to sort out an air filter for it. Bloody hard to find a 65mm flexi styke air induction hose to mount to a pod from the SC

Working on the cold start for the last few days, takes maybe 5 trys to get it to start and idle. Slowly getting there haha. Si (Taz_rx) came around the other night and he helped get the idle pretty sweet. Cheers mate
