anyone heard of an auto-retard system on electronic dizzys?

yeah thanks for that. i understand the reasoning behind the massive post |blink| i am aware of the vacuum advance and all of that. i have fuel, air, compression and spark. however, the story behind my deductive reasoning is that with the dizzy lined up with TDC (i.e. on the right tooth) and then retarded.... the thing starts. HOWEVER. it does run like crap and ONLY makes it to 1000rpm at full throttle.... BUT, when someone else adjusts the dizzy and advances it, it runs perfectly. but it wont start like that.... it definitely sounds like an advance issue of some sort.... and the vacuum advance is working. (diaphragm is ok) so if the 'auto-retard' system that someone mentioned does not exist, then I'm assuming it may still be the dizzy.... and the mechanical advance? or is there something else that people can think of?

Gday guys, my AE82 died on me a few weeks back and after playing with it for quite a while, the only thing i can put it down to is the timing. now i heard somewhere that corollas have an auto-retard system? i havent been able to find any information on that at all. if anyone could give me any input into that that would be great. i really need my car back on the road |blink|

I'm really bad with withholding information. adam, this ultratune thing was titled to a guy called ken, and had an address literally around the corner from me. i just talked to the guy that lives there now (he knows ken) and said that it DEFINITELY has a new clutch kit in it, and he reckons $1400 was spent on it. I'm willing to bet that they got the quote from ultratune because it was close, then got the work done elsewhere..... so i am REALLY REALLY hanging out to compression test cyl. 4!!! :) :( :)

standard is about 400mhz.... so 800mhz would be bloody good... and 4 gig is always good... cool. daven, cluster - as far as i know - is fine. lights etc still all good, ill get back to you when i know more 24*,***km i think on it

i am puzzled by the line "those wheels are horny" correct me if I'm wrong, but it is not the wheels that are horny, it is the person stating that they are horny because of the wheels, correct? what would said persons wife have to say about that?

is that all you have to say about that? hey... it connects to a windows network better than a windows machine does... and yes... i do have xp on here too..... for when i may 'need' it my wireless works fine actually... i set that up about 6 months ago.... has all worked fine, even AFTER coming back from holidays. restart dads laptop and now it connects. why do you need to restart a computer for it to detect a wireless network that its been connecting to for more than 6 months?

3 out of our 5 PCs have had issues today alone. dads laptop wont connect to the wireless the family computer wont connect to the wireless dads computer wont print to its OWN USB PRINTER! where as all the other computers can print to it over the network.... and my mac is working sweet as always :)
