mr2 mite be out.... it died last nite :) idler pulley for the sc / water pump decide disapear (made fukin bad noises), havnt inspected the damage yet, just know the pulley is gone belt has a gash in it, coulda bend stuff, it started to get hot wen i limped hm so who knows (yes i know a motor gets hot when the water pump isnt turning) I'm BLAMIMG THIS ON A CERTAIN MECHANIC SHOP AS THEY WERE THE LAST TO PLAY WITH THIS!!! The sc12 has no power in the top end but the sc14 does, depends on what supercharger and how its setup, you can't just say all superchargers run out of power in the top end as its just not true. I doint know about the teflone coating coming off at 13psi unless the sc14 was really flogged out, i know of sc14s running at 17psi daily without a problem.... Sounds like a cetrifical (think thats what there called) supercharger, basically the rear housing of a turbo with a pulley mated to the front, also sound like he needs to tension the belt, had that problem before, Depend what you want from your car mate, power from idle and wikid supercharger wine or do u prefer waiting abit longer for the turbo to spool? either way u will be able to get decent power

The clutch is electro magnetic and is switched on by the computer, I'm sure you could figure out some sort of relay to turn it on/off

try autosol for anythiung metal mmm good stuff, and desreaser in a can is easy but can buy pre mix stuff and a small brush and hi presure hoes n have fun lol ill just spray mine n hose it off its not gunna be real prity but it has a 4agze so it doenst hav to be lol
