i pulled off one of the hoses n yes its a vaccum. when you take the hose off it wont idle properly, block the hole n it goes normal.

The new rack is power steering off a csx and mine is the power sterring twincam every thing looks the same on the apart from those hoses Do u recon it'll fit ok?

ok sorry. yeah i might try disconnect it tomorrow. Well mines has power steering and i was told it was optional on the CSX. ill let you know what happens as my new steering rack doesnt have a spot to put these hoses. Cheers Shane

well thats what people told me it was. Its the sports one with all wheel discs, 4age, alloys, sports steering, stut braces, all that jazz. any idea y it would have a vaccum line in the steering rack thanks 4 ur help n e way Shane

um sorri dude but it is power steering its a sx ae82! y does no one believe me? ok heres pics 2 prove!!! the hoses go from the steering rack to the intake part of the injection rail! the arrows point out the hoses n were they go

ok i just brought a recon steering rack for my twincam ae82 the steering rack came out of ae82 csx and i was just about to start pulling my car apart 2 fit i when i rilized they were different. the one in my car has an extra set of hoses that come out of it and go up to the bottom of the fuel injection rail. What are these hoses for can i just block them at the fuel injection rail and not bother about them? Cheer Shane

well the celica was silver with full kit, rims and zaust don't think he had personalised pl8ts but i wasnt behind him long enough to see hehehe. thought he would hosed me beenin movin n all but nar he gave me abit of a run thought to 3rd but then i was gone!!!!!!!

o y were on the topic of slaughtering i killed a celica one of the newest model ones. and he had a rolling start. 4AGE POWER!!!!!!!!

so it could still have the csx badge if its the sporty csx

ok it has the twincam 16 steering wheel, on the id plate it has engine : 4age ,it has the csx badge on it and had colur coded bumpers. the boot is the original one and the badges have been there since production. i will get pics 2morrow if u want. i can give u the numba off the complienec plate let me know

yeah it must be the sports one has all that crap. but it also has the cs-x badge! i just talked to my bro who used to own it and he said it was an aus delivered. can some one explanin what the hell it is? the badge is CS-X

ok i have a ae82 rolla seca csx which came out with the 16V 4age. the motor isnt to flash n e more and have recently been offered a 4agze engine and comp. what i need to know is will the gearbox bolt straight up (pretty sure i will but just checking) and will it be able to hold the power? also is the loom the same, can i just plug in the new comp? any help would be appricated Shane
