Taz_Rx Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 As above, just wondering if the axles and centre from a KE55 can be used in a KE70 and vise versa?? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 31, 2006 Author Report Posted October 31, 2006 cummon guys, someone should have experimented with this before. or since ke70 wagons are leaf sprung like a 55, are they basically the same diff?? Quote
philba Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 Not sure if it'll help, but there's a bit of info on diff's in The Oldcorollas FAQ. the oldcorollas faq Quote
Raven Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 The centre should be interchangable, since they're both borg warner (i think). Quote
philba Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 KE5x and 7x Corollas in Australia had Borg Warner differentials, you can't change these centers as easily as in a Jap diff. KE5x have 6" ring gears, KE70s have 6.38". Apparently some KE1x cars had a Borg-Warner type diff as well, limited info available on these. That's from The Oldcorolla FAQ Hope it helps Quote
