seems a pretty comon prob that 2nd gear syncro goes in an AE101 gear box i know mine has seen beter days, this may seem like a silly question but has any one looked in to why???, coz my father in laws has shit it self but he drives like a granny!!! coz I'm sure quick shift high revs from first to second will stuff any gear box but the 101 seems to be a little brittle!!! :jamie:

My wifes car has 270K on the clock and the box is as good as new. I haven't heard of this problem before.

could be that I'm a shit driver then hahaha iv talk to a few people who have the same prob though might be a certin manufacturing period that they are a little dodge

Ive herd of the 3rd syncroes going in the c52 box.

k iv been away and still no reply has this not hapenend to anyone else ???

Try asking on twincam.org there is more Front wheel drivers there.

3rd gear syncros is very very common on the c series i beleive its due to the step in gear ratios making the syncros work harder.

2nd gear synco isnt as common, and the usual cause is the 1-2 redlight grand prix shift.....
