butty Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 hey there. I was thinking about changing the air box on my 1992 sx seca 4age to a Pod filter, but am not sure about what you would do with the sensors in the box? is there a special pre made pipe or something you just replace the old one with? Also does a pod offer much more power then the stock set up.I have a K&N panel filter in it atm also. any advice would be much appreciated thanks. Quote
Trev Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Better off leaving the box in there and running a CAI pipe to the box, I will be modding mine shortly that will include series 2 parts on a series 1 (No more info ;)) so i could put a post up of an easy fix. Quote
butty Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Posted March 12, 2007 yeah i thought about that but there doesn't seem to be a good place to run an extra pipe. shes pretty cramped the old engine bay. Quote
MYSTIK[RL] Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 *cough* heres an article for you to read and it may give u and idea http://www.4age.net/tech/coldair.htm Quote
butty Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Posted March 12, 2007 nice one mystik. I'll keep that idea in mind. Quote
Trev Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 That is a good setup for a AFM but it still don't solve the problem of the sensor box. Quote
butty Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Posted March 12, 2007 yeah exactly there has got to be a way to do it. Almost every, half hotted up car like mine has a pod sitting in their engine bay that i have seen on the net. Quote
