Not that I would consider doing this, but if one wanted to, could someone tell me a bit more specifically about removing all the performance restricting emissions stuff or rendering it useless. Stuff like what to block or what to remove or what to do with the exhaust butterfly etc.

Thanks in advance,

Pretty sure yeah. In an old toymods thread a guy who rallied an ae71 (I think) recommended removing it. The e.g.r system recirculates exhaust through the carby and the butterfly in the exhaust restricts flow. Is there a different reason when people put on weber's they rarely hook up the emissions stuff? I don't really see how removing the emissions gear would be any worse on a stock system, than with an after market carb. I mean who puts on a weber and hooks up the e.g.r system :sob:

You have to be a bit careful pulling hoses off as the carby might need them to operate properly, Find a Gregory's ae71 manual and go over the pollution gear and work out whats needed and what isn't needed.

Just pull off all the vac lines and block them up, just leave one to the vac advance on the dissy and one to the pcv valve on the cam cover

do you need to block them up? from all the ones you pull off?
