The bearing races need to be drifted out if you replace them. I want to replace it all as they are about 30 or so years old, Drifted out ? Do you mean hooking around corners or some other way ? coln72 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 grab a suitable length of bar, insert through the front of the hub until it sits on the rear bearing, then wack with a hammer. keep moving to different spots so it comes out evenly. Quote

Redwarf Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 If you pull the outer bearing out, clean the inside with a rag, and you'll see that the lip on which the bearing sits has two cut outs 180 degrees apart. Pin punch and hammer will work it out. Quote
