July 25, 200719 yr comment_188460 The importation and compliance process is relatively simple being pre '89, you just gotta find one :P There are still lots of classics getting around in Japan, although the odds of finding a "Old Mr. Nakamura bought it new and drove it to the shops every wednesday since 1974" doesn't happen very often due to difficulty and expense of keeping an older car registered. They're out there, but mostly in specialist classic dealer yards with a big fat pricetag on the windscreen. Report
