Killswitch Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 That's the plan now, will get ye olde 5K. Then proceed to chop paulies 4age KE  ...or not...
Ella Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 lol as it is it coudlnt pull the skin off a custard but it runs real nice....
ancullen Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Go the 5K! It'll be pretty cool, especially with a nice cam, a bit of porting, extractors & exhaust, and one or two nicely sized carbs. And by Paulie, do you mean Supertiva? What happened with his RX7 or RX7's?
ancullen Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 BTW, I just bid on some cams from the UK (with cam gears), but another bidder had already put in some far higher bids, as in, far higher than what I'm prepared to bid. I'll just have to wait till I can afford my Crower Cams.
ancullen Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Fixed the Corolla yesterday. It took all of half a second. Then I obviously had to take it for a test drive.
woteva Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I want a 4AGZE :) ;) Me too! one day  w.
ancullen Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Killswitch - yeah, 4A-GZE's rock my world now. Back when I was researching Corollas I was dead set on the 20v motor, but now wouldn't bother with it. The acceleration of a standard 4A-GZE is just awesome -can't wait to see what it'll be like when I start modifying it. woteva - f@$k off. If you're going to post outside your region you'd better make damn sure it's a worthwhile post and not just postwhore spam bullshit. Do it again and I'll make sure you get a week's ban to make you think about it.
Killswitch Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Lol, bit aggressive there Adam? :D Nah, I'm thinking depending how things go next year in the grand scheme, if I still have the corolla a 4AGZE might find its way between the towers  12psi Pulley + exhaust and then ultimately a hairdryer on the side. ;) Sounds goooooood. :)
ancullen Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I'm not so sure about the pulley upgrades, as the Nevo one costs about $500/550. I suppose it's good value considering you don't need to change ECU's to do it. Love the sound of my 4A-GZE with extractors and a 2.5-inch exhaust. It'll be a real pity to destroy the noise quality by going turbo, but who can resist the temptation of 300+hp? I'll still stick with the S/C for as long as I can get away with it though.
Killswitch Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Shit ay, are pulley's that exxy. I thought they were closer to $250-$300. Buggah. Thought about doing an SC14 swap?
Killswitch Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Oh damnnnnnnnn I found what I want! I want...! Wonder what it will go for, seems like a farken bargain. I could buy it too, but then I'd be up shit creek and run out of money for everything else. btw, double post ftw
zmit Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 katoomba!!!! I'm gonna be there in january  lol go danno.... hey adam, what was with the aggressiveness back there?? first warning a little lighter maybe?
wasfishing Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 i think i might have lost some power as i can't spin the wheels n e more on the road it just chirps n takes off now, got a new a battery n took the intercooler off and put it back on but don't know y it wont spin!
ancullen Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Thought about doing an SC14 swap? To be honest it's never really entered my mind. To do a conversion to the SC14 involves a fair bit of work, and I think it would be easier to go with a turbo. Plus the bigger the supercharger, the more drag it creates on the motor. I'm sure power would increase with the bigger volume of the bigger blower, but not by nearly as much as a similar volume turbo running the same boost.
