wasfishing Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 that just proves my point duys car is a stock as a rock aw11 with no brakes after lap 2, and urs is a ke55 completly stripped and with a worked motor
Pure-SX Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 His motor aint worked lol, standard motor with exhaust and old school ecu lol. Plus it was duy's first time in the aw11 was it not? Technically its not in the boot is it shane but in the engine bay? :)
ae174agze Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 hes got you there lol that ke55 will be dam fast when ur done with it but
ancullen Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 The KE55's motor is stock aside from extractors, a 2.5" exhaust system, and a Microtech MT8 ECU. It makes 87rwkw, which is actually slightly on the weak side for a standard 4A-GZE. Yes, the shell has had some stuff taken out of it, but it's still got sound deadening and lots of other stuff. It doesn't have carpets, so there is a bit of weight removed there. As for suspension, it's got Kings low springs at the front, with slightly longer lower control arms to give a bit of negative camber. It's got a Whiteline front swaybar, and a standard rear swaybar. The diff was swapped for a 4.3:1 ratio instead of the standard 4.111:1 ratio, and it is a welded diff instead of open. The diff housing was also apparently bent to give approximately 0.75-degrees of negative camber at the rear. So really I haven't got that much over Duy. His car has an LSD standard, so that cancels out my welded diff (LSD's are MUCH better). I've got a weight advantage, he's got a traction advantage. And he's got WAY better tyres than what I was running on the KE55, so that would easily cancel out my suspension mods. Plus he's got strut braces which I definitely don't have. Meh, I know you guys will be getting your cars out on the track to race me next year. :) We'll find out who's faster then. It'll be the great RollaClub NT 4A-G Race. Round One next year. I'm in, who else is actually going to commit to doing it? And if you don't turn up it counts as a loss. :D
Pure-SX Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) cough suck up. Plans are to keep the bitch of an ae82. Get a plenum Manifold ECU All the I/C piping and I/C Get the exhaust done(dump with new exhaust) t28 or something maybe a new gt28rs or gt2871 8psi ish till I get really bored of it or the motor goes pop and maybe just get a thicker head gasket initially to drop compression a little Your thoughts? Edited October 24, 2007 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 A T28 is going to be fairly laggy. Oh well, the only way for you to find that out is for you to spend the money and build the engine. By the time you get that done, with any luck I'll have a bit more grunt from the 4A-GZE.
Pure-SX Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 A t28 laggy? lol in the 86 the bitch spooled so damn quick. I don't mind a little lag I have already stated that.
ae174agze Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 HKS T51R ahahaha jks btw umm beau yates i think thats how u spell it has a turbo 20v in his team peer drift car and the turbo compresor houseing is huge from what photos and dvd's ive watched it looks like a gt30 compressor houseing and a custom smaller rear housing for faster spool up but still pulls till the rev limmiter
ae174agze Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) in a skyline a T28rs boost up at about 2.2kish (steal wheel, roller bareing) thats a 2.5L 6 cyl engine so on a 1.6 probably 3-4k ish all depends on how mutch ur willing to spend i surpose what u should look at is a hks 2510 Edited October 24, 2007 by ae174agze
ancullen Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Thank you Andrew. The T25 is EXACTLY what Stephen needs, but he won't listen to me. And according to Duy, the T28 in his old 86 was extremely laggy compared with the T25 he had in there.
rolla70 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 i had a ball bearing garrett t28 on a 1.8L (ca18det) and it made boost at like 2.5 it was great
Pure-SX Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) hrrm the turbo daniel had on the 86 gt2871 has very little lag. What I was looking at was a gt28rs(disco potato) with a .64 exhaust housing(rated at 350hp) or a gt2871r with a .64 exhaust housing in the 48 trim (rated at 390hp). Also Adam spotted your best mates excel in the city. I thought he said he was going to sell it? I don't think he wants to race ya :) Edited October 24, 2007 by Pure-SX
wasfishing Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Steve are u sure that was the turbo?? he's had 3 diff snails on that thing
ae174agze Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) i have a manifold garret T15 turbo dump pipe and oxygen sensor for a single cam 4g15 excel or lancer engine + all gaskets(used) + oil fittings i paid 400 for it never been used i'll take 380 for it sorry moderators :) Edited October 24, 2007 by ae174agze
Pure-SX Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) He had the gt2871 on it(99% sure). He took me for a drive in it when he was selling it. No thanks Andrew lol Just read the post about the tournament thing for next year, I will be up for it. Gives me plenty of time to get the car ready and use up all my excuses :) Edited October 24, 2007 by Pure-SX
