I am HOPING all goes well, Pedders have the strut tops in stock I will be picking them up this arvo. So front shocks/springs should be in tonight.

Also discovered my CV IS FARKED, it might just be the boot, even then the shaft wont be far off. Its sprayed everywhere, so If I want to compete at the street drags and at the lap sprints I will have to get handy with the degreaser and hose lol.

Also the front will be LOWER. I will definitely have to get my guards rolled properly and possibly flared a little. I have pretty red trailing arm bushes, replacing them was a carnt of a job.

Found that smilie ages ago Andrew you aint special lol.

SO ADAM WHERE IS MY SPOTTERS FEE, after all the abuse and hassling I deserve it biatch

I'm hoping it's still available. If it is, we'll buy it and strip it for parts (assuming it's a three door). Even if it's not a three door, it might be worth buying it for the engine.

If it's a three door I might buy it, put the window in the red Starlet, pull the engine out, and then we'll see what happens with the shell. :) (*cough*midmountedV6*cough*)

Last night was a great success :).

Old front springs/shocks out. We used the top plate and rubber from the old springs/shocks on the new. Assembled the new ones off the car with the new strut tops. New combo went in no dramas. The old shocks were rooted, could compress them SO easily and you could hear and feel the gasses escaping. At the moment the car is sitting about the same as it was, when the springs settle I believe that it will be approx 1" lower in the front. But I am so happy with the difference just the front shocks/springs made.

Also Shane you know that jitter thing? Its gone now :D.

Also I don't think I will be competing in the lap sprints, if I do I will more then likely do the drivers side CV. As it stands the CV has sprayed the entire inner guard and most of the steering gear. I may still compete not sure as of yet.

Lapsprints won't be that hard on your CV's. You don't ever turn the wheel full lock, and you're not putting huge loads on the CV's as you do a clean launch and you're basically just driving around after that. Just come out and drive and don't pussy out like you do at the motorkhanas.
