Found this in the trading post yesterday:

Tempting or what? I know I'd like to have a rollcage, but they cost about $1,000-1,500. So paying $1,500 for another vehicle doesn't seem so bad. It's a pity it's not a Corolla though. Plus I'm looking at spending money on more important things at the moment, so I thought I'd list the ad here in case any of you guys were interested.

Luke was telling me about that the other day actually. He sounded pretty keen :)

Sounds like a fun toy though, but I'd want it road regoed for me, then I'd still rally it! That'd be bloody awesome.

I didn't know there was a 'Rally Assosciation Darwin', any info?

EDIT: thinking about that datto more, sounds insanely stupid fun... I want it! :hmm:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Rally Association of Darwin has been around for a fair while. Definitely wouldn't be road registered - the lengthened wheelbase bit kind of gives that away. :hmm:

I like the idea of having a rollcage for lapsprinting, but I'd never be able to continue into Improved Production with that vehicle as the cars have to have an engine of the same number of cylinders from the original manufacturer. Could always drop an SR20 in and sell it off. An even better find (in my opinion) in that issue of the Trading Post was four Jaguar XJ6's from four different sellers. Two were registered (one's meant to be in EXCELLENT condition), one had no engine, and one has a good engine but a rusty boot. Instant wedding car business anyone? Plus I've always wanted a Jaguar XJ6.

SPOTTED: imnost waiting at the lights at the intersection between the Stuart Hwy and University Ave. Tried calling out to you but you were immersed in reading the dials on your Skyline to make sure it was still running. :hmm:

Wouldn't know to be honest. I've never looked on mine. I can't even remember if my oil gauge works. I think the oil light is on constantly at the moment, and I think my petrol gauge is the only one that definitely works.

Did the gold KE70 have the stickers on the bonnet and boot, or were they on the windscreens? As for the 2-door hatch, what colour was it. The only thing I think it could be is an EP82 Starlet GT (the model before the Australian model).
