fusion Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Whats it going to be used on? Won't be able to give you much information if we don't know what it is being used in conjunction with :) Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Maybe have a read of the new and improved FAQ. I have Dellortos on and don't have an issue with them. It was a little hard to find a workshop to rejet and tune them though. Webers generally are seen to be better quality. There are more workshops around that will rejet and tune webers. I don't know how true this is, but Webers are said to be better in the top end compared to Dellortos. Conversely Dellortos are said to be stronger in the lower rev range. I used to have SU's. Great carbs and can deliver some surprising results. Not many people in the know use or recommend Solex's. *insert paperweight gag from redwarf here* :) Quote
Redwarf Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) Webers and Dellortos are much of a muchness performance wise. Weber parts are cheaper and more readily available than Dellorto. I consider Solex's to be good paper weights. (Damn, just saw the above post... :)) Edited October 21, 2007 by Redwarf Quote
