irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 Last outing (which was poorly attended) myself and grimwolge managed to get in 11 runs and stopped before the night was over. You could easily get 15 runs in, which equates to $2.25 a run. Cheap thrills. Quote
Teddy Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Nick : wanta take my car insted of yours? Maybe for the evening we could pop the side drafts on mine just for the hell of it :) ! heheheh Quote
Redwarf Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Mel, do you want to front Redatto against Redwarf? Quote
Felix Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 sounds good to me. nick, you and teddy could always go halves, and take turns on your runs. the stewards would know no better. Quote
Teddy Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 halves would be good  what speeds would we get upto on the 1/4 ? lets say my car did an 18 second run, what top speed would i be hitting aprox? Quote
Felix Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 (edited) 100-110 km/h? Edited October 26, 2004 by Felix Quote
irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 Only a few requirements are needed to compete at Street/Grudge meets ... a three point lap sash belt (as minimum), an approved helmet, long sleeves, shoes and socks. I can only assume the same applys for Test'n'Tune because its less strict. But if your not competent enough to drive in a straight line doing over 100kmph then please don't jepardise mine and others saftey and do the right thing..... Quote
irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 Drive teddys car out and shoot some...video.... Quote
Teddy Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 yeah i like that idea  but i will have to learn how to do this hole drag thing... Scary stuff for a lil person like me ! Quote
irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 don't panic... don't expect to be awesome your first run. My first run was a (suprisingly) good 0.661 reaction running a 20.239...vs a CA18DET Datto 1200 coupe running a 13.592....ahem Check the willowbank site they have a whole section there to explain what to expect etc. Test and tune is slightly different. No scrutineering. You show up...pay your money, line up in the lanes...hand your form in and get your number.... Quote
Teddy Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 ah ok coolies i just don't want to break the car ! any idea what i should shift at in mine? - ive got no idea now with that 4k.. Quote
irokin Posted October 26, 2004 Author Report Posted October 26, 2004 just shift when you feel safe. No use stressing yourself, its supposed to be fun! Quote
