Hi just wondering if anyone knows if the ke20 ever came with a rear sway bar?

As far as I understand, no. That goes for TE27's as well, which had the T series diff in it.

A friend of mine bought an aftermarket (white line 16mm rear bar) for his car, bit had hassels with it as he had a bigger diff

(G series hilux) in it. If this is your case, it may be worth checking it out before spending money... :lolcry:

yeah i thought as much. i will just have to wait intill after i have sorted out my diff situation and then look into the whiteline option.

i have a ke55 diff in my '20 with the swaybar mounts on it. i would need to make mounts on the car for the ends.

The Update KE55 1980/1981 (Square headlights) was the first rolla with a rear sway bar. From then on I believe it was standard.

IMHO KE20's don't really need them.

fair enough. I think i'll just wait and see how it goes on the track and hill climb. i'm sure there are heaps of other things i can tweak before getting a swaybar.
