Ke55 Crossmember

hey all.

 

ive got an 4age engine mount bracket thingy to fit into a ke70 crossmember and was just wondering if a ke55 crossmeber is the same. i mean I'm pretty sure they are as they both had k series motors (obviously) and i tried looking, but i just wanted to be 158.39% sure. or alternatively would an ae71 crossmember fit???

 

As that will more than likely be my next project....

 

so is it a :lolcry: or is it a :fuzz:

Sorry dude but they are different, Your spot on, they both have pretty much the same engines, the drivers side mount (ke70) has more angle? less angle? whichever you'd like to call it as opposed to the ke55, Obviously angles are different between the 55 & 70 crossmembers,

 

Ae71 crossmember.......................???????????????????????????????????????

hi i am new to this site so go easy will a ke70 4k fit into a ke55 whithout any mods cos we got one sitting in our shed whith a 5 speed hangin off it :dance:

Motor is yes, but the gearbox is a no cause of having to trim up the shifter hole, if the 'box is from the ke70 (as a note the 'box is same as in the ke55 but the shifter is moved back a little) - unless you have the auto version ke55 then you'll have to figure out how to fit the gearbox x-member cause the one for the auto is in a different spot....
