  1. Its all good man, I sent an email to Greg at GKTech about their water/oil line kit and he said their kits don't need a restrictor, so thats handy, i'll probly go with that.. Also if anyone is after a 1 inch brake-master to suit a ke70 booster, one off a patrol is perfect. JB-1777 is the part number.
  2. yep Reed I work the other side of kunda, down Sandalwood lane.. and Carlos so is that 30 thou, so around 0.8mm?? From what ive read 0.8mm is the go but its kinda hard to get definative info.
  3. Soo yeah 5 months on and i aint done much.. Finally got some new bearings put in the SR and a rocker stopper kit. New Exedy heavy duty clutch and also found a stainless mani and a t28BB out of a jap s15. Does anyone know if an oil restrictor has to be used when swapping from a non-BB turbo to a BB turbo? and also what size restrictor. This is a black top sr20det out of a 180sx..
  4. flat front beige ke's look the goods. I see you every arvo at 4pm at the matilda lights in kunda park on my way home.. i wave but i don't have a horn, so if you see some one giving the thumbs up from a loud Surf, its me..haha
  5. Down sugar road, yeah that would have been a while ago.. I don't go anywhere near m'dore anymore. Not in this anyway, haha.. Anyone know how to make the pics bigger?? like i said i suck at uploading pics..
  6. Howdy peeps.. I'm Richie from Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.. Some of ya'll may know me, been on the forums a while now and seeing as this isn't my full time daily any more i thought i might make a thread about it.. That and there is nothing on tv.. After finding more and more rust in the KE25 i had, i decided to scrap that and get back into an AE.. I bought this with a tired old 4ac, put up with it for about 2-3 months and when ae86dc went down for the weekend around october, I was bored so the 4age went in.. Basically I'm building it to get into these supersprints. Haven't got to one yet thats why all my pics are hardparked.. The grey and beige one (same car) was my first AE back in about 07.. So basically this is it: Engine/drivetrain 4age bigport Rwd intake Unknown 4-1 extractors 2 & 1/4 exhaust Facet lift pump, 070 main pump, 2lt surge Stock computer Shitty pod Stock Radiator 12in thermo Stock T50 silvertop flywheel Heavy duty button clutch.. 6mm return fuel line.. Interior Bride fixed back No sound deadening but has carpet Twinky wheel Suspension/Brakes Ae86 struts cut down 40mm Otomoto coilover kit 9,8,6kg front springs, 4.5kg rear springs Sw20 mr2 shocks, some commo rear shocks Tein camber tops Kelway strut brace Ps arms.. Ajps 40mm rca's Vented & slotted disks, calipers to suit Wheels 2-13x8 volk racing mesh 2-13x8.5 volk racing mesh 2-15x8 challengers 2-15x8 sportmax 002 4-14x6 work copies/shitters/skidders Future plans are Weld diff Some track time.. Half cage.. fix rust.. Weld on rear flares xt130 lca's.. Mount battery in cabin Different spring rates for the rear.. Convert to flat front.. Paint white.. Spirit stripes/stickers Fit chrome bars properly.. Replace 4age with sr20 when this dies.. Get mounts swaped and fit the mk2 f series diff.. I think thats about it but yeah.. Tell us what you think.. Richie. Ps. i suck at uploading pics..
  7. For your $170, did that include fitting.. Yeah i should have said that included fitting for $340. Hells no id be paying $340 for a screen..
  8. Hey guys.. I've got a nice big crack in my ae71 sedan windscreen and i'm just wondering if anyone knows for certain if ke70 and ae71 windscreen are interchangeable?? Secondly, has anyone had to get someone to replace theirs (ke70/ae71 only)?? Who'd you use and how much?? I got quoted $340 from O'Briens.. Might ring a few more places in the morning.. Cheers.. Richie.
  9. according to this thread it is..maybe pm him and find out what the dealyo is. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/s...hp?17583-a-KE70
  10. tweakit does these..what sam was talking about.. http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_info.p...roducts_id=7597 then at least you can change back..
  11. They bolt straight into a ke70 aswell.. i ran them for a few months (only sierras).. way too short imo..has no droop at rest and if you go over a sharp rise in the road the wheels lose contact.. not real fun. looks pretty cool hardparked tho..
  12. Hey guys.. I've got my 4age sitting in the bay of the 25 ready to make up some engine mounts, i'm just not sure whether to mount it low or high, id like to go low but then i'll have to run a external oil filter, sump to ground clearance not good.... So if you have got some pics of the engine brakets used and also the crossmember clearence would be sweet and any other info would be just swell.. Cheers.. Richie
  13. Season 6 of "The Office" when Andy goes to help some bird jump start her car, turned out to be a te70 wagon, quad headlights and after attempting the jumpstart a leaky "spark tube"...
  14. having never used t3 tops before (only cusco) i don't know how they go together BUT in every other case yes you will need those shank nuts as the threaded part on the shock is thinner in diameter than the hole on the pillow ball and also the thread wont be long enough.. kinda wierd not to get them though..
  15. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...9886&st=105 bout half way down
  16. ok well i stand corrected.. but meh worked perfect for me for just over a year (then i dissmantled the car) op means "original poster" and imo means "in my opinion".. i know that much for sure!!
  17. the way i did mine was just to swap the top two you listed over so i had: the top fitting is the return fuel line that comes from the motor the 2nd from top is the fuel overflow that goes back down 2 the main tank the 3rd is the feed from the intank pump that fills up the surge tank the 4th bottom fitting is what connects 2 the external pump and goes 2 my motor. not really saying mine was right, i just didn't want to over-pressurise the surge tank by having the overflow that high.. if i was to do it again id probly get a surgie with only 3 fittings, so the fuel coming from the motor would go straight to the main tank to cool off a bit, probly wouldn't make much of a difference but who knows.. Richie.

    Spotted Qld

Spotted a red ke20 on the highway this arvo about 2pm driven by a young lass, some type of black rims i think.. South bound just after the caboulture BP.. that was probly the best part of the trip home and the first one ive ever seen on the road....
  19. HKS did do a few side draught mani's for the good ol 4ac, one was for sale on DC a late last year too... As what tom said. Blow thru supercharged is what i intended to do to mine but of course a 4ag came up at a price i literely couldn't say no to.. but if you want some idaes.. http://www.paradiseracing.com/index.htm http://4ac-powered.forumotion.com/forum.htm the best 4ac site.. Richie.
  20. just get some camber tops, then you can dial it in to whatever you want.. failing that: XT130-KE55 - 310mm MX62 - 365mm GE Sigma - 330mm S13 350mm its only 20mm difference between the sigma an xt.. man up i say
  21. Well after seeing and reading quite a few other KE2x threads i decided i had better pull my finger out and start working on mine again. The car that is not so much my thread.. So in the last two arvos i stripped all the sound deadening out with a heat gun and a chisle, got most of the wiring under the dash out (oh an how minty fresh is the dash pad??), roof lining is out too, i also pulled out the windscreen and rear window assuming i'd find some rust, but nope, its as pretty as the day it was made.. but to top off all my hard work i found $1.35 in shrapnel and 3 tyre valves :P Been slowly getting my front brakes together, 86 shortened struts, TRD yellows, vented+slotted discs, calipers, power steering arms (altho I'm not sure if that will make a difference with the steering box??).. so all I'm waiting on now are a pair of weld on coilover kits, then that'll be sorted.. With the wheels thats where I'm hoping ill be able to tuck the 15's for the time being till i find some 13 inch hayashi streets.. Altho i will be running flares so it will make for a better fitment.. I decided not to run carbs on the 4age as i also have a set of itbs here so I'm just goin to make a mani for that, just not sure which comp ill use to run it.. I'm thinking adaprtonic but thats way down the line.. So now i just got to find a place to media blast it at a reasonable price.. can anyone reccomend a place on the sunny coast?? i tried one dude but he wants around $12-1500 so I'm not going there.. :P After the blasting is done I'm not really sure what colour to paint it, i really like the orange but for some reason that british racing green or what ever it is, is starting to get my attention.. so theres another problem to overcome as well as getting the t series shortened with leaf mounts put on.. And lastly my newest toy is a little 125cc pitty. Goes alright for what it is. The gold one looks better that that now .. 2 for a hundred bucks so i made one good one an ill scrap the rest, and anyway the pro tapers are worth that too.. Anyway I'm (as they say) rooted.. so beddy byes for me.. nite nite Richie..
  22. yikes.. looks like you have a lot of work in front of you man.. thats IF you are to keep it.. But I'm with your missus.. scrap it and sell me the front panels :hammer: jokes jokes, but seriously.. Sr would go alright, but throw a chicken cooker in it instead..
  23. Cheers guys, even tho thats probly not what I wanted to hear but haha.. Are they hard to come by, as in only "special" Ke's had jap diffs or is it just luck of the draw kind of thing?? Well it looks like I'm off to the wreckers again.. Atlest I know what to look for.. Yeah I had a locked borgie behind the 4ag for atleast 7-8 months with no signs of fatigue which coped major punishment every weekend, then upgraded to a T series for peace of mind.. I was only asking as the ke25 diffs do look rather "twig like"..
  24. Hey guys.. In an effort to get the rolla back on the ground quicker I am going to use the std ke25 diff but converting it over to 114.3.. I have the jap type diff with the bolts on the front.. Now I have read that I need ke30 axels and braking assembly, but when I was at the corolla wreckers he told me there was 2 types of ke30 diffs.. the jap type and the borgwarner type.. Does anybody know if theres a difference between the two and which one I should be using for this conversion?? Or am I totally wrong and should I be chasing a ke55 rear axels and brake assembly?? Also while I'm here, roughly how much power would a std 25 diff cope with?? ill be running a semi std 4ag.. Cheers.. Richie..
  25. Yo, I havn't done much to the old girl for a little while.. no motivation i guess but i just got a mani for the carbs, bolted them on an dam i want to drive this thing now.. Motor looks so naice.. also got a very basic linkage for the cable and also to hide it.. Its the blue thing underneath the carbs. ] Lined the diff up and the wheels stick out about 3 inches with the T18 diff so tossing up whether to use bolt on flares or just make some steel ones using ke70 or similar arches.. And just been cleaning up the engine bay, going to weld up all the unecessary holes and smooth it all out then move the batterey behind the passenger seat and also remove that anoying bulge in the middle of the firewall.. also ive started removing some of the sound deadener so i can start to stitch weld the shell from the boot then only up to the strut towers. if anyone has some hydro clutch pics, from in the cabin, post em up yo!! Cheers.. Richie..
